Lion attacks
I remembered something that happened years ago and wondered if anyone else could fill in the details. there was a very famous pop singer and I think her name began with 'M' Not positive. anyway she was a good artist and once time she posed for a photo with a male lion. The animal suddenly attacked her and she was saved from any deadly harm fortunately. However, I don't think she sang much after that incident. Does anone remember this. I hope so and then I can sleep more easily......

Re:
nchristi you have given me a settled mind THANK YOU... I have been scouring my memory to think of this singer. I remember it but could not quite put it into place. Many thanks. You also settled my question about you, yourself. I wondered where you were and if you were OK.. Had not seen you around lately.
Things are clearing up and maybe it is because I put new batteries in my Himalayan lamps !! They are supposed to clear the atmosphere and I find it does work.

Re: Lion attacks
You are welcome, Peggy.
Watching that old video clip was interesting. The lion clearly was not antagonistic towards Minnie R. As she commented, the trainer said the lion wanted only to play with her. My first thought was, what perfume was she wearing? Perfumes have various pheromones in them to attract males.
Suggestion of the day: Don't wear your favorite perfume when around the King of the Jungle.

Yes, there should be a no perfume rule at the zoo! LOL!
This reminded me of a recent story where a famous Las Vegas magician was attacked by a white tiger that he used in his act. Unlike the lion incident, I heard this particular attack was actually quite violent. I think it was Siegfried and Roy (one of them) who got attacked.

Re:
Yes Hiroshi it was Siegfried abd Roy. They lived in Las Vegas with their white tigers for years. It was quite a tragedy as their act came tp an end after that I think it was Roy who tried to hold the act together but it was not easy by himself. Siegfried never did work again but I have not seen anything re his demise. I would never go to any of the shows when in Las Vegas if they had wild animals.. Wild animals dont become tame. they are only trained and that goes astray sometimes.

Re: Lion attacks
Yes, that was the story! Thanks for reminding me of the details, Peg. I had forgotten that Siegfried completely left the show after the attack.

Re:
Speaking of tigers I saw a promo for a new film called 'Thr Tiger' just released in Korea. I was not aware that during the Joseon Period they had wild tigers roaming around in Korea.
The actors all seemed to be older men with long acting credits and film work. Very interesting and I think it may come to TV so I will look out for it. I don;t think there will be any romantic part to this story somehow...
