I just love the drama's pacing, wish the beginning episodes weren't so edited--hoping the production company will release a Director's Cut; I really want to know what scenes they had to delete in order to fit Korea's 1hr5min timeslot.

I think if I were JE that would be a deal breaker. YJ would be tainted now, as far as I'd be concerned, of course that's if I were JE.  YK would always be in the picture somewhere, unless she does everyone a favor, and say, jumps off a bridge. I don't guess she'd be that generous, so I'd have to let YJ go.

And I don't know if YK jumping off a bridge would solve the problem--it might actually add to it. YJ still doesn't know that Han Byul is his daughter yet. Only JE has realized this now.

I don't know if its the actor or I'm missing something, but I see no chemistry between YJ and JE and I didn't see any between YJ and YK either. Maybe its me, but the two people who are getting engaged don't look at all like a couple. never mind a couple who can't live without each other.
To me, at this place in the drama KW would be a good option for JE. The little girl loves him and he's a good guy. Aside from his very creepy father, I see no problem. I'd leave YJ to YK and cut my losses. That's got to get ugly. Who needs it? YK isn't going to go away quietly. Let her have him.

Joo Sang Wook was a lot more passionate in Giant. He loved the girl and there was no mistaking it. Seems he left his passion at home in this. He and JE seems like very good friends and that's it. I know she's loved him for a long time, but she's missing the boat too. I just don't see it. And if they haven't reached the "can't live without you" stage, its okay with me if JE goes with KW and YJ goes back to the evil slime. At least she shows some passion. Maybe he can work himself up to show some with her. Its just not working for me with JE.

woodstocks, I have always been the JE-KW shipper (ever since he used "o genki desuka" when it came to JE), but have come to understand that what is important is what JE feels and thinks.
I feel the writer and/or director are representing/showcasing two male "archetypes" for JE: KW, the naturally dashing, and YJ, who has yet to come into his own. We expect & hope JE to choose KW--it makes perfect sense, but love is never easily that clear cut. YJ needn't be dashing for JE. He might not have gotten her the flashy ring, but he has asked Ji Hyun (the designer) to create a wedding gown for JE.
And right now YJ still has a lot on his plate--the success of his clothing company and his older brother Young Guk out to destroy him...I don't think he has really comes to terms with "family" yet.

Heh! I was just reviewing the ending of last Thurs.' episode and utter frustration with YJ! He comes running to YK w/ just a phone call. JE spent the entire day looking for him (and was likely the only one to understand where he could be hiding), consoles him over what his older brother Young Guk did to him, but before he even puts a foot in the door, he rushes off again. I'm so GLAD that KW punched him, I wished he could have gotten some more in (one of my favorite scenes). The least YJ could have done was step inside and tell the entire family he was fine--they had stayed up the entire night worried about him.
Imagine how viewers felt when reading the preview written for the following episode, posted by KBS (quoted translation by Q_Park): class blockquote Young-jo thinks weirdly of Yoo-kyung's relationship with Myung-ja and when he finds everything out, he runs towards Yoo-kyung.We literally saw him running towards her at the end of EP 15. That was still fresh in our memories...and now to read that he does it again in the next episode! So how many times will we be seeing YJ "running towards" YK?!
Another favorite scene of mine from last night's EP was when JE gives YJ a call while YJ was waiting at the elevators to head up to see Young Guk (we didn't see who had given YJ a call till YJ tells his brother why he wasn't going to bring his brother down). Though it might look that JE doesn't mean much to YJ as JE does to KW, we see how, again, YJ was swayed by JE. Just like in the early episodes of the drama when with JE's words, YJ helps his brother Han Soo out of spending time in jail, YJ doesn't financially destroy Young Guk. I'm sure Young Guk was surprised.
And that was surely a different spin on the folktale of the Woodcutter and the Fairy! Tears streamed down my eyes as JE tells the tale to Ji-hyun the designer. She saw herself as the Woodcutter, and YJ the Fairy.
YJ somewhat redeems himself. He actually gets down on bended knees asking JE to trust him. I remembered how even as a child he didn't get down on his knees when he asked Lee Ae Rin to tell him about where his mother was!
Another scene that got me smiling--the charade at Han's Production. KW was a bit slow in figuring out that Han Soo & Seo Jin were helping him out. HS & SJ managed to fool everyone outside KW's office.
I also love JE's parting words to YK at the end of the episode:
"If you can reveal everything then do it. But I can't, with my own mouth, say that my mom is not my real mom. Or that I didn't give birth to my daughter. No way. I won't. Because I don't think of them as not."
