Re: K-Drama: 웃어라 동해야 (Smile Again)
This is like a "Three Brothers" reunion. We have "Cookie," "Soli" (her eventual step-mom), and "Scammer" all playing major roles in this new Daily drama. Lots of other recognizable actors, too, from other popular dramas.
Too early to tell anything much about this one. The main girl (Bongyi) gets dumped by the rich mama's boy on the eve of their wedding. The rich mama is a world class nasty woman—she could give the typical K-drama mean MIL a bad name! I hope we saw the last of her. I only hope Bongyi is not secretly pregnant, tying her forever to that loser rich family.
With so many different family groups going on here, it should make for a more interesting drama. This screenwriter (Moon Eun Ah) has also written "You Are My Destiny" and "Here Comes Adjumma." Adjumma was a great drama. Destiny was so-so. Unfortunately, this writer also wrote "Ice Girl," my all-time worst drama pick! LOL! She seems to be improving as the years go by, however.

Re: K-Drama: 웃어라 동해야 (Smile Again)
I would like to get a better understanding of the timeline of the Mother`s illness, pregnancy, and adoption. Did Carl Laker get his girlfriend on a visit to Korea,or did he live there for a few years?

Re: K-Drama: 웃어라 동해야 (Smile Again)
Also hated Ice Girl. That was one stupid drama! I loved Here Comes Ajumma and it is still one of my favorites. You Are My Destiny started out OK (except for dad hiding the fact that his daughter had died from his wife) but I ended up not liking it at all (except for my crush on Hosea)
I watched this but there were too many people and I ended up confused. It takes me at least a couple weeks to 'catch on'... Some people are so slow!!

This sounds promising. Won't get it for a couple of weeks though. I only skim Happiness in the Wind now. Hoping this one is better!

Re: K-Drama: 웃어라 동해야 (Smile Again)
So there is an influential older couple who somehow lost their daughter many years before.
There is the skaters mother who was adopted to America after being separated from her bio parents. Wonder if she is their lost daughter?
I'm already thinking Skater and Announcer girl are NOT going to end up together. I bet she ends up with that CEO's son... the one already trying to hook up w/her.
Skater will probably end up with that nice girl who was jilted... where have I seen that jilted girl before?

Re: K-Drama: 웃어라 동해야 (Smile Again)
I think the jilted girl is one of 4 or 5 actors from Three Brothers. They are already setting up the rich-poor competition, with the announcer losing a position to someone with more wealth and status, and one family losing wealth and position because of another.
