MP3 question

re MP3s

I just received an MP3 from UK as a gift. I have no idea about these things at all. I have yet to read the instructions etc. However ,I do see there are earplugs. I do not intend to put earplugs in my ears for any reason. If I cannot listen to music without tying myself down then I will use the music always playing in my head.

Is it possiboe to use an MP3 with some other connection and not the earplugs.? this person has told me he has already put 500..FIVE HUNDRED... tunes in there. I am utterly shocked. I have no idea what sort of tunes but I'll put money it won't be my kind. Hoping for the best of course.

Any opinions gratefully received.

Peg

Re: MP3 question

besides the port for earphone, is there any other ports? what cable does it comes with (one end could be either a USB, 3.5mm)? if the person can put the tunes on there, you should be able to get it off and transfer onto your computer. assuming it is MTP compliant.

Re: MP3 question

Peg-san, what's the name/brand of the MP3 player? I also don't care much for earplugs, so with my MP3 player I sometimes use a set of stereo earphones, like these:

They are a little larger than regular earphones, but at least you do not need to stick them in your ears and can just put them around your ears. I also like the sound quality better, too.

But there also might be a way to put the songs on your computer. Did the box have any other cords or cables?

I would probably use adapter cables like these:

This will enable you to use the earphone port and connect it to a stereo or receiver. This way you can probably blast music and walk around the house. emoticon

Re: MP3 question

first..thank you for all information which seems to be just what I need to know. At the moment I can't do anything with this MP3 because I am having vision problems. I was prescribed wrong eyedrops and they have done damage to my eyes. apart from irritation I can't bear the llight and can hardly keep my eyes open.
there are two sets of cords with plugs ..one seems to be for ports (oblong plugs) the other seems to be like the ones moises showed.
I will have a go at reading the directions maybe tomorrow with magnifiyng glass.
Make is ALBA. Name I don't recognise.

Must stop...thanks again

Peg

You're welcome, Peg-san! emoticon Sorry to hear about the pain in your eyes, I hope that the irritation goes away and that you're feeling better soon!

Yeah, if the adapter cable that Moises was talking about came with the MP3 player, you should be able to connect that to a stereo and listen to the music whenever you'd like. Hopefully the instructions for the MP3 player will have more information about it. :
