Opening a picture

I've been mening to ask this question for a long time. The answer I have found does not work for me.
I cannot open any picture which is blank but has a red cross in the top corner. I have gone into my Microsoft and W indows and followed their instructions but it just doesn't work.

does anyone have any suggestions please. No rush...just would like to know where my grey cells are lacking.

Blank pictures with the Red X icon in the upper left hand corner mean alot of things. Usually it means that the image you are trying to view has been removed from its location. Sometimes it means that the server with the image is down, so you can't get the image. In other words, something went wrong and you can't see the image for awhile or for good.

Re: Opening a picture

Hi Peg,

Yeah, like Moises mentioned, usually the red cross at the top left corner of the picture means that its probably been removed temporarily or for good. Sometimes, I right click on the picture and click on the option called "Show Picture". Once in a while, it will work and the picture will show up. But if it doesn't, then it means the picture has most likely been removed.

Hope that it works! emoticon

Thanks Greg.... that makes me feel a bit better..I thought it was something tricky that I could not fathom.

I just found out all by myself , how to capture a still picture from a video. I was really rather pleased with myself. I know it's simple once you know but I had to wake up in the middle of the night to think about it and EUREKA..!!

You're welcome, Peg-san! emoticon

I'm glad you found out how to capture a still picture from a video! That's a pretty handy feature. Haha yeah, I just love that "Eureka" moment! Sometimes I'll spend a lot of time thinking about how to fix or solve a problem (like a math homework question), and I just leave it and do something else. It's so funny when I'm doing something completely different and the answer comes to me! What a relief. emoticon
