I have searched the manual and also the Epson web. However this looks like a different site so will have a go tomorrow. (That is, if you don't have one already) Also while you're there, check to make sure you have the latest "driver" for your scanner/printer. http://www.epson.com/cgi-bin/Store/support/SupportIndex.jsp Hope this helps.nondisclosed_email@example.com (bubu13)Mon, 20 Aug 2007 19:18:27 +0000 Re: Scanninghttps://bcjkdramasincalifornia.runboard.com/p2013749,from=rss#post2013749https://bcjkdramasincalifornia.runboard.com/p2013749,from=rss#post2013749Dear moises. I just knew I would have a reply from you. :-)  My printer has the capacity to print and copy and scan. It also faxes I think. The fax may be actually in the computer but have not investigated this yet. My problem is that I cannot envisage how to scan a photo from the printer (in scan mode) and have it appear on the PC screen and should it appear in my documents in a named file or what?? My grey cells won't budge to help me here. Nothing comes up with any instruction when I put in the photo and press 'Scan' on the printer scan setting. Printing is when you take a digital document from your computer and make a physical document you can hold in your hands. Scanning doesn't harm your document. It preserves it though on the computer since it won't degrade like it would on paper. I have a scanner and have scanned alot of pictures because they are decaying rapidly. Some old color photos are really yellow. The scanner I have looks like this: Some printers now also have the capability to scan. If yours doesn't, then you would need a scanner like the picture above. Scanning is not really difficult. It just gets difficult when you want precise settings to get high quality scans.nondisclosed_email@example.com (Moises)Mon, 20 Aug 2007 15:33:49 +0000 Scanninghttps://bcjkdramasincalifornia.runboard.com/p2013736,from=rss#post2013736https://bcjkdramasincalifornia.runboard.com/p2013736,from=rss#post2013736Please, Can someone tell me the difference between Scanning and Printing. Reason is I... know how to print and I know how to copy. I want to scan a small photo which I am told I can put into my computer. Well I am not aware of how to do this. Where do I send the photo to be ing scanned? I would like it to go in My Documents and hopefully then I can either email it or send it to a thread on a web site. Nothing covers this on any instruction from epson. Since I only have one small copy of this precious photo ,I am scared of spoiling it also.......
