Re: K-Drama: 하늘만큼 땅만큼 (As Much As Heaven and Earth/High as the Sky, Wide as the Earth)

When all is said and done ,it is always a little sad to close the book on another drama .I even felt more empathy for Myoungtae by the last episode - but I felt that they handled it well with the two grandmothers and I liked that his kids came to see him at the end .

I couldn't believe how little LB and JiSu have for their trip ! I will never travel THAT lightly .

I think instead of taking a break from the next drama ,I will tape the first few episodes !

All in all ,a satisfying ending . I wish EunHa and Jimin were engaged - but I guess you can't have everything

While I didn't find the principal characters (among the younger set) as fun to watch, nor the story as good as Pure in Heart, I enjoyed watching this series. I liked TG and M-Grams the best and really thought that TG got prettier and more youthful looking as the series moved on. Thanks to everyone for riding along with us. emoticon

LOL... I can't believe I did this, but I set the tape to record the last ep, not knowing my tape was already at the end... I didn't get the last episode!! I guess that serves me right for bad mouthing this drama emoticon I'm glad to hear Bubs' children came to visit..

Bub got a lot of play last 2 episodes-guess his story had to get wrapped up.He's very versatile as an actor, and his character in this drama underwent a lot of changes.

I was taken aback at Jh's(?) response to his wife quitting work to raise their child. It was played out as that was not an important function (in his eyes)for her. The way they seemed to be so embarrassed about having a child, was off- putting to me.

At least there was no serious tragedy here-no hit & runs-no one died-no amnesia-no evil conniving-except for Miae-no loan sharks or bankruptcy---but, they had enough moms to go around.
I always wondered about LB's bio-dad-That would have really been too many parents.

I wasn't feeling chemistry between any of the the couples-even though the acting was good,--which is why I watched every darn episode

Sherlee gave me a recap of the last episode (thanks Sherlee!). I'm actually sorry I missed that!

I like this drama, ok. It was a good drama with people realizing what family really is. Since there were no teeth clenching, nail biting issues, I didn't get emotional over this one. It was slow, steady and basically just showed the daily lives of families.

The replacement has several Bizarre Bunch actors in it... So just to see them again made me really enjoy episode #1 emoticon

The next show does not look too interesting from the first episode.

Yes, there were loan sharks chasing TS when they had the other restaurant-when bio-mom gave Sy the money to pay them off-these long dramas test my memory.

Enjoyed it & my favorite characters were Sanghyeon, Jisu, Myeongju, Eunha & Eunju. Miae & Jiung also grew on me & Mina is SOOO cute emoticon

But I was hoping that Myeongtae would get married or, at least, find his soulmate before the end & the ending was, to be honest, VERY disappointing & the worst ending of all the K-dramas I've seen...which are quite a few.

It just left me, wanting more & with more questions than answers. Still, I did enjoy it, though I find the 20 episode-type dramas to be much more enjoyable & easier to follow. The 165 epsiodes are just too much emoticon

In most cases, I tend to agree with lex07 as far as the shorter series' vs. the longer ones. At least it's not like here in America, where they never go away. I do tend to fall for certain characters and find myself hurrying home and cursing traffic in order to check in on them. emoticon
