K-Star: Goo Hye Sun/Ku Hye Sun

I'm also glad she is getting a shot. I still hope to catch some of King and I. I heard that they have started filming her next drama. Hopefully, pictures from the set will come out soon

Re: K-Star: Goo Hye Sun/Ku Hye Sun

I saw this interview on TV. It was interesting that so many guys were crowded around her. Usually it seems the fans are mostly women with some guys thrown in the mix. Maybe it was because the location seemed rather remote and young women wouldn't naturally be around in that vicinity at night.

I must say that of all the actresses I've seen as "themselves," she is probably the sweetest, loveliest, most genuine and unaffected one I've seen to date. Though I did wonder at her comments that she wanted a guy who was nice to everyone else but would "lead" her and "be harsh" with her. Maybe something was lost in the translation...

real cute interview. Hmmm, maybe she is saying she wants a man who isn't too soft. Sensitivity is nice but many times women like to be the only feminine one in the relationship. I can't really word it either but I think I can sort of see what she is saying. So maybe the word would be "strong" Oh well, I'm sure she will find the match that is for her.

Here is her commercial for danahan. It is the second one she did for them http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=2Jv2oagu6yo

Care of Dramabeans; "Gukwha" keeps on growing:

Gu Hye Sun joins actors like Yoo Ji Tae in expanding her resume to film directing. Her debut project is the short film Gaze [시선], which starts filming on June 2 in Gangwon-do, and boasts a pretty large scale for this kind of work: approximately 50 crew members and name casting which includes sageuk actor Kim Myung Su, Seo Hyun Jin of the kpop group MILK, and Ha Jiwon’s younger brother Jeon Tae Su. There will also be cameos by other famous actors.

The 35mm film, written by Gu Hye Sun, will be approximately 20 minutes long, and deals with euthanasia and human psychology, which seems like an unexpectedly dark issue to tackle in a debut film — no fluffy vanity project here, it seems.

Gu herself won’t be acting, focusing instead on the directing and even set design work; she’s mentioned her desire to direct since her early debut days and was an art major at school. Her next acting role will instead come in the upcoming fusion sageuk drama Strongest Chil Woo (Choi Kang Chil Woo) which also stars Eric, Lee Eon, and Kim Byul.

Did you see in the Friday night entertainment show that our little "Gukhwa" is starring with Eric in a new "fusion" warrior epic? Two shocks... one that Eric will be a warrior, and second that Gukhwa will be the female bait for the two leading male stars. Should be interesting! emoticon

The name is "Chilwu." Here's a YouTube clip from Entertainment Relay, I believe.

I've been watching a similar show online, Iljimae which stars Lee JunKi (Time of Dog and Wolf, My Girl..) and Han Hyo Joo ("Jisu" from Earth and Sky.) Dramabeans has been pretty much savaging both of them in her reviews but I'd never let that sway me from watching anything. It's early so the characters aren't all that easy to follow from one age to the next, but I'm enjoying it, so far.

Amazing how shy and embarrassed our girl seems to be at every interview or public interaction that I've seen her in. I guess she really is "Gukwha!" emoticon

(It's a good thing that they brought along the big guy (Lee Eon from Coffee Prince) to do some of the heavy lifting.)
