You're right Tangpriest. I can see it in the eyes now, he should have kept his light brown hair from WS as a tell-tale sign. lol

I think he's a great actor and one of my favorites especially after seeing Winter Sonata and Hotelier. Maybe I'll watch this again now that I'm familiar with the lead actors/actresses.

I still really don't like the whole basis of this movie though.

smartaz are you a fan of him as an actor, or perhaps closet case eye-candy fan? emoticon

K-Movie: 스캔들-조선남녀상열지사 (Untold Scandal)

Well, I finally saw this movie yesterday. For soft core porn, I thought it was very entertaining. I had just walked over there from Dae Jang Geums neighborhood and noticed a definite difference in attitude. Rod Serling was right, I think I had just crossed over into the twilight zone. I really had to wonder which neighborhood was the real one and which one was the alternate universe.

I loved all the plotting and scheming and high stake deals being made. Everybody had something going on. Some innocently, some very malevolently. And of course one deal always led to another. It reconfirmed to me just how vicious women can be. Scary. I don't trust any of em.

One of my favorite scenes was when the two tomcats were both going over the wall at the same time and met on top. Both going for the same reason, just in different directions. BYJ was so nonchalant but the kid was just mortified at being caught.

There were also some sad parts. BYJ face down in the sand was sad, and I know that the "through the ice" scene was supposed to be sad, but it was so abrupt that it made me laugh.

At least I now know why the captain was so loyal to Lady Jami for all those years in EOS. I also guess the old saying was right. "He who lives by the sword, dies by the sword".

All in all, I'd say it was "memorable".

Interesting take on the movie and thanks for sharing it with us. It's good to hear that you enjoyed this one more than I did.

Watching these K-Dramas makes me afraid to get married for those reasons you mentioned. They're all black widows!!!! LOLOLOL emoticon

Wait until you see some of the Court Ladies in Jewel in the Palace, it makes you wonder how safe eating someone else's cooking really was as a ruler in those times. emoticon
