Thanks for all the information, nchristi! Yes, viewing both is probably the best way to go, especially since I haven't seen Flags of Our Fathers either. But I think seeing the two sides of war would be really interesting as well.

Yes, thanks nchristi for the info on both movies. I wanted to see Flags
when it first came out but it was gone from the theaters before I knew it. I think they should have re-released it when Letters came out. For some reason Flags didn't do as well as Letters is doing. I guess I'll have to wait until it comes out on DVD.
If anyone is interested in seeing Letters in a theater, I just saw in today's paper that they will be releasing it to more theaters this weekend.
