Re: Upcoming Movies
But these movies are all gonna be in English right? Because the Yugioh movie is dubbed, but what about the Jirachi movie?

The only movie I have definitive language info for is To End All Wars, which is in English with Japanese subtitles. The movie is based on the River Kwai WWII events. It's directed by David L. Cunningham (Stand by Me) and stars Kiefer Sutherland.
I'd be shocked if the Yu-Gi-Oh! movie wasn't dubbed.
My guess is that the Pokémon movie will be in Japanese only (it was advertised only in Japanese and as 七夜の願い星ジラーチ), but that's just a guess.
Gozu is playing in an artsy theater, so it will probably be subbed. It is reportedly a dark, artsy, cult film, somewhat in the style of David Lynch.

Re: Upcoming Movies
Thanks ccwf.
Yeah, I read your post, and I kinda inferred that the movie would be in Japanese, but I was wondering if it would have subs.

Re: J-Movies on TV and in Theaters
Shall we Dance?, the remake of the 1995 Japanese movie Shall we xml:langja-JPダンス?, is opening tomorrow.
Starring Richard Gere (xml:langja-JP八月狂想曲, aka Rhapsody in August), Jennifer Lopez, Susan Sarandon,…. See the official Shall We Dance? site.
However, most indications are that C/J/K fans are better off seeing the original, which was shown recently on cable.

Re: J-Movies on TV and in Theaters
I loved Rhapsody in August. It was really nice - I wish they concentrated more on Japanese history, but it was nice as it was. Really good.

Movies on TV for this Weekend
Just thought I'd post another list of upcoming movies so that you all could see how common Japanese movies are on TV now. I don't do this often since it takes me a great deal of time to compile these lists. It's also possible I've missed some movies since I just put it together manually. Most of these movies are subbed.
Friday
The Ring Two (HBOP, HBOHDP), Graveyard of Honor (IFC), Heaven & Earth (SHOWXP), Kunoichi: Lady Ninja (SHOWXP)
Saturday
Akira (EACTP), The Blind Swordsman: Zatoichi (SPIKEP), Graveyard of Honor (IFC), Zatoichi: The Blind Swordsman (TMCXP), Heaven & Earth (SHOWXP), The Hidden Fortress (IFC), Dark Water (SHOWBP), Howl's Moving Castle (SCINP), Premonition (TMC),
Sunday
Dark Water (SHOWBP), Gamera: The Guardian of the Universe (SHOWBP), Infection (SHOWBP)
Of the movies above, I would especially recommend Kurosawa's The Hidden Fortress (which was an inspiration for Star Wars), Premonition, Dark Water, Howl's Moving Castle, Heaven & Earth, The Blind Swordsman: Zatoichi, Akira, and The Ring Two in roughly that order. (The anime movies would be higher except that I know some of our members don't watch anime.)

Thanks for this list. I would agree on your film choices as well. The Japanese version of Dark Water is pretty creepy and by the director of Ring. The Blind Swordsman is Beat Takeshi's version and it's pretty cool. Akira is class anime - it was the first of it's kind, and of course Howl's Moving Castle shouldn't be missed.
