No, they're usually just friends, but some of us here *cough*me*cough* do wish that they at least hold hands once in a while.
Rumor has it that they were in that "Summer Mysteries" special, which has the same storyline as Trick, but is the rival series that either Fuji or something else produced. But I can't verify that, as JDorama doesn't have that.

You could say that, I guess. I think many would think so because Joe is a lot younger than Abe, but I guess when we see them in this movie together, we'll be assured.

Haha...when I went to the jdorama site, I looked at both Abe Hiroshi's and Nakama Yukie's profile and was quite distraught by the huge age difference. But I mean, onscreen they look pretty well together and it does seem possible if you ignore the huge age gap.
