Re: J-Special: 第56回NHK紅白歌合戦 (56th Annual NHK Song Festival/Contest)
This show used to be the highlight of New Year's Eve in Asian countries with Japanese influence. It used to feature top musical stars and it was fun to watch. But this year's show was presented in an amateurish way with some embarrassing acts. Perhaps we are now more used to the high calibre shows put on by the Korean contingent.
The only highlight was watching Dreams Come True doing a Hip Hop adaptation of their song. To see how that group had evolved over the years reminded me a little of Annie Lennox and her group.
Bi/Rain would present a more invigorating show by himself than all these Japanese acts put together.

J-Special: 第56回NHK紅白歌合戦 (56th Annual NHK Song Festival/Contest)
I only watched a little of last night's show. I got the tail end of T.M. Revolting and Def Tech. I really enjoy Def Tech so I was really happy to see them perform. Sorry I missed SMAP. I'm a huge fan of Katori Shingo. Also, Bi is performing at Madison Square Gardens Feb. 2. It's his American premiere. (Though he's played in L.A. several times, those weren't his shows alone.)

nchristi...
Yes that was the beautiful samurai in Myamoto Musashi.
He is the Tokio drummer and if I remember correctly his name is Matsuoka Masahiro. He has acted in several dramas also.
