2004 Korean Drama Awards
Three major Korean TV stations KBS, MBC, and SBS are selecting the award winners of this year.
On 11/23, the selection committee of KBS announced the recommended candidates of PDs. Also, 17 actors and 16 actresses are recommended to the category "Excellence Award (최우수상)", and the powerful candidates are:
"Age of Warriors": Kim Kap Soo (김갑수)
"Immortal Lee Soon Shin": Kim Myung Min (김명민)
"Oh! Must-win Bong Soon Young": Ahn Jae Wook, Chae Rim (안재욱, 채림)
"The Second Propose": Oh Yun Soo, Kim Yung Ho (오연수, 김영호)
"More Beautiful than Flower": Go Doo Shim, Bae Jong Wook (고두심, 배종옥)
"Full House": Song Hye Gyo (송혜교)
"Terms of Endearment": Chae Si Ra (채시라)
"I'm Sorry, I Love You": Soh Ji Sup, Im Soo Jung (소지섭, 임수정)
"Sweet 18": Lee Dong Gun, Han Ji Hye (이동건, 한지혜)
The preparation teams of SBS's "Acting Award (연기대상)" is operating now. The PD who puts together the most contribution and performance power will win the PD award.
Kim Jung Eun and Park Shin Yang of "Lover in Paris", Ha Ji Won, Jo In Sung, and Soh Ji Sup of "What Happened in Bali", Kim Rae Won and Kim Tae Hee of "Love Story in Harvard", Eugene and Ji Sung of "Last Dance Together", and Lee Dong Gun and Kim Hae Neul of "Glass Painting" are powerful candidates to win the award.
MBC uses similar method to select the winner. Lee Suh Jin and Lee Eun Joo of "Fire Bird", Myung Se Bin of "Women who want to marry", Go Doo Shim of "Ode to Han River", and Choi Bool Ahn of "Time of Hero" are candidates of discussion.

nchristi I don't know and haven't been able to locate more info . . . however, creidesca put a post on somewhere telling ppl about voting, if they are a member of kbs. w/check into it.
However, here is a very recent pic of Bi[Rain] performing recently at Korean Film Awards during the 2d half. (Hey, isn't this the show we get on KBS around Christmas Day?)

`Old Boy' Gets Best Picture at Korea Film Awards
The film ``Old Boy'' received the Best Picture Award at this year's Korea Film Awards.
At the ceremony on Sunday at Little Angels Theater in Seoul, the film, directed by Park Chan-wook, received five awards in all, including Best Actor for Choi Min-sik and Best Music.
The Best Actress Award went to Jeon Do-youn for her role as a young diver in love in ``Ino Kongju (My Mother, the Mermaid).'' Also from the same movie, Ko Doo-shim, who played Jeon's mother, received the Best Supporting Actress Award.
The Best Supporting Actor prize went to Lee Moon-sik of ``Pomjoeui Chaegusong (The Big Swindle).'' The film also garnered the Best New Director Award and the Best Script Award for its director Choi Dong-hun.

BoA and Rain Honored at M.Net Music Video Awards
Teen phenomenon BoA and singer Rain received the top prizes for best music videos of the year at a ceremony held by a local music channel on Saturday.
At the 2004 m.net Kmtv Music Video Festival, held at Kyunghee University¡¯s Hall of Peace, BoA was given the Best Music Video Award for her song ``My Name.¡¯¡¯
Rain received the Most Popular Music Video Award for his video ``It¡¯s Raining.¡¯¡¯
Se7en received the Best Male Solo Artist Award, while Lee Soo-young won the award for Best Female Solo Artist.
Best Male Group Award went to Shinhwa, while Sugar won the Best Female Group Award. The Best Mixed Group Award went to Koyote.
In the rock category, Seotaiji continued to prove his longevity and the rap category saw Cho PD taking the prize. Wheesung was given the Best R&B Award and Shin Seung-hun took home the Best Ballad Award.
Tongvfangxinqui! was selected as the Best New Group.
Hosted by Shin Dong-yop and Kim Jung-eun, the ceremony lasted four hours. During the event, singers Bada and Okk Joo-hyun teamed up to sing ``Let¡¯s Get Loud¡¯¡¯ by Jennifer Lopez. Other performances included a pair of songs by Japanese rocker Gackt, who won the Best Asian Rock Artist Award, and a collaboration by BoA and Japanese hip-hop group M-Flo.

12/6/04 – Choi Min Shik and Jun Do Yun are the winners of the “Best Actor” and the “Bast Actress” in the “Korea Film Award (대한민국영화대상)” ceremory held on 12/5. Park Chan Wook, the director of “Old Boy”, wins the “Best Director” award. The “Best New Actor” and the “Best New Actress” go to Kang Dong Won (“Romance of Their Own”) and Soo Ae (“The Family”).

Rain Wins Grand Prix of 2004 KBS Music Awards
Artist Rain won the Grand Prix of the 2004 KBS Music Awards. The Best Lyrics Award went to Jeon Hae-sung, who wrote Lee Seung-chul¡¯s ¡°Long Day,¡± and the Best Music Award was taken by Yoon Myung-seon, who composed Jang Yun-jeong¡¯s ¡°Oh My Goodness!¡± Director Matsushi Muto won the Best Music Video Award for producing the music video of BoA¡¯s ¡°My Name.¡± The Merit Award went to the veteran singer Ham Myung-sook, famous for her song ¡°A Guy In Yellow Shirt,¡± while the Special Award was given to the former KBS lighting director Ko Cheon-san.
A total of 25 artists and groups received the main prize at the KBS Music Awards ceremony, including the Grand Prix winner Rain, Shinhwa, TVXQ and Lee Seung-chul, among others. The winners were selected through ARS, Internet and mobile phone voting; the criteria also included the number of discs sold during the year and contribution to broadcasting
