Re: Places in S. Cal to buy cd/dvd/tapes
I'm sorry, I was mistaking Marukai and Mitsuwa, but we already discussed Mitsuwa, so I was wrong. Yes, I love that 98 cent store, its great! =)
I've only been to Koreatown once, but it was on Olympic and Western I think, but I'm not sure on the exact area.

Re: Places in S. Cal to buy cd/dvd/tapes
ABC Plaza Mall is where the Music Plaza store is located. Go to the top floor and at one end of the floor is ABC Plaza hardware and the other end is the music store. You'll find the ABC Plaza Mall on Western and James Woods. It's a large pinkish building. Parking is free on the weekends, or you'll need to have parking validated by the market during the week (if you want free parking).
Galleria Mall is on Western and Olympic; unfortunately, though they have a music store, it is very small.

Re: Places in S. Cal to buy cd/dvd/tapes
Hello everyone. I presume most of you who have posted message on this board are all from Southern California, residing in the LA area and vicinity. I have been buying my Korean CDs & DVDs from YesAsia. However, recently I discovered DVDfromkorea.com and they sell it cheaper because it comes direct from Korea. They have huge selections of movies and tv dramas just like YesAsia. It is also easy to buy using your credit card. I already bought a few movies like "You're So Cool" starring Song Seung-Hun and Jung Da-bin and have pre-ordered "Everybody has a secret" starring Lee Byung-Hun. I have a few selection of K-drama all english-subtitled: Winter Sonata, Autum of my Heart, Summer Scent, Hotelier, Rooftop Room Cat, All About Eve, Loving You and Popcorn (no sub-title). I also have all Song Seung-Hun's movies: Calla, Make it Big, Ice Rain, So Close and You're so Cool. I also have Bae Yong-Jun's VCD, OST of Winter Sonata, Yellow Ribbon, RoofTop Room Cat and a few more. I will loan any of my DVDs, VCDs, OSTs to anyone who has other Korean Movies I have not listed here. We can exchange/swap with no cost to anybody except shipping. But if you live close enough to me, you can even pick it up. So e-mail me.

Anyhow, I'm sure there are hyun, you gotta look though.
Galleria's is very small, but its still something.

Do you mean the Mitsuwa at Centinela & Venice Blvd (which is actually in Mar Vista)? Centinela Ave becomes Bundy Drive at Ocean Park Blvd and I'm unfamiliar with another Mitsuwa in Santa Monica/West LA area. ?

The only Mitsuwa in that area is indeed the one at Centinela and Venice (where I sometimes shop).

Re: Places in S. Cal to buy cd/dvd/tapes
Speaking of CDs, Kinokuniya's CD collection is great, but it is very pricy. A regular CD at its most basic stage is no less than $30.
