MUSASHI OST

hyena, I believe I got Musashi OST from yesasia.com. I’ve just gone to their website now and can’t find anything. You might give them a call and ask them to track down a copy for you. (It’s expensive--in the $40 range, plus S&H.)

Alternatives are a Google search (I just did one--there are a number of resources there), and Amazon.com.

Amazon has the following:

Musashi OST by Ennio Morricone (original composer), released Feb. 2003 (14 tracks). $40.49/free shipping. Or used and new CDs from $31.37 + S&H.

Musashi Encore by Ennio Morricone, released Sept. 2003 (15 tracks). $41.49/free shipping. Or used and new from $32.02 + S&H.

I have the OST and love it. I think I may go ahead and buy one of the Musashi Encore CDs, as well--it might be as good or better than the original. I'm glad you asked the question or I never would have known an "encore" CD was available. Thanks!

Re: Favorite TV Drama Song

nchristi, if you go to Annyoung.com and search Morricone's name you'll find about a dozen or so CD's containing his music, including not only Cinema Paradiso Theme, but songs such as Now It's Love, Deborah's Theme, Sentimental Walk, Once Upon a Time In the West, Playing Love and Il Mio Dom. These were just a few of the compositions I discovered when you first mentioned this wonderful Composer. Although these compositions appear on various CD's, I found several of them enhanced my music collection because they contained other beautiful arrangements, including, but not limited to, themes from movie/dramas. Million Blossoms of Roses to you, nchristi! emoticon

I went back to annyoung.com and did another search, finding what you referred to, star1. Did you purchase some of those CDs listed? If so, do you recommend any in particular?

I found another web site today that had a good price on Musashi Encore. It was only $37 (S&H of $2.49), instead of the $40+ at other sites. [CDconnection.com]

This site has quite a number of Morricone CDs, which might interest you, since I know you’re a big fan. I am fascinated at his versatility in composing and orchestrating--I still cannot recognize his work unless I’m already familiar with a piece. Others, like John Williams for example, I find almost immediately recognizable both in content and orchestration. [Ahh, the world of music and dance. There's nothing like it, is there!emoticon]

Re: Favorite TV Drama Song

nchristi, thanks for the info. I actually purchased several of the CD's but have not recd them; they may be waiting on one which is appears to be out of stock. Will let you know. The 'Encore' edition sounds very worthy of purchase. Thank you. emoticon
Music . . . dance . . . sports . . . theatre . . . ah! . . . spectacular pleasures!!!

BTW, I have found even though Yesasia's site may not produce any results on some searches, if sent email, they will try to locate, even though it may take some time and followup may be necessary. If it can be gotten, they are the people to do it.

The theme for "Beijing My Love" is 북경 내사랑, which ironically means Beijing My Love. Marry-M is actually the singer. I'm not sure if it's a man, woman or a group, but I hope this helps kentori.

If you're looking for the song, I can find it for you if you want. emoticon

Re: Favorite TV K-Drama Song

From Save Last Dance For Me OST; all tracks . . especially lovely is Our Love Will Always Last. There are 3 different versions on OST -- one in Engl., a beautiful instrumental featuring cello, strings, piano, and the topper . . . a version in Korean and English!

Aside from Sorry I Love You OST, the Last Dance OST is one of the few to feature several songs in English (first 2 tracks are Engl.), there is rap song in Engl. and Engl. versions 3/4 way in.

Re: Favorite TV K-Drama Song

I downloaded the Save the Last Dance for Me OST, but I haven't actually listened to any of the songs. I probably will soon since you gave it such a high recommendation star1.

I think I like way too many drama songs to have just one favorite. :P

For me, the first that comes to mind though is Track 2 of the I'm Sorry, I Love You OST. It's called "noon eh ggot", but I have no idea what that means. It's sung by Park Hyo-shin, that I know. I found the lyrics, but also have no idea what they mean. I think I'll post it in the Requests section and maybe Ellianu or someone else nice enough will post a translation.

Why is that ironic? emoticon ;)
