Poll: How many C/J/K dramas are you watching??

I'm watching:

Huan Zhu Ge Ge III - (KSCI18, M~F, 7:00pm ~ 8:00)

Honmamon - (KXLA44, M~F, 7:30am ~ 8:00)

Kura (...the usual AHC 7:00 Sunday theater) - (KXLA44, Sun, 7:00pm ~ 8:00)

Younger Man - (KSCI18, Sun, 9:00pm ~ 10:00)

I'm waiting for Rosemary to start so I can finally get a good start on a Korean drama. I'm also kicking myself everyday for not watching Musashi from the start. I blame creidesca for not starting this great board back in February! emoticon

Well, I'm watching?

Honmamon ~ Even though I'm not a very frequent watcher, I fall behind...

Musashi ~ Same, I watch it sometimes, but since I didn't see all of Toshie and Matsu I fall behind too.

Younger Man ~ Just started watching.

Taiwanese Drama at 12 to 1 30 ~ I've only seen 5 minutes of this one, but I'm starting to watch again.

Due to bad experiences with Koreans regarding Japan (due to the fact that Koreans have teased me due to my liking of Japan, because Koreans do hate Japan immensly for the 40 year colonial occupation) I'm pretty distant with anything regarding Korea, North or South, including dramas, so I don't watch any at all. I stick with Japan, Taiwan, and China, the other 3 major Drama producers.

I'm watching:

Sangdoo! Let's Go To School - kdrama that started off really well and only got better as the storyline progressed.

One Million Roses - The daily kdrama that's pretty good.

Musashi - I try to watch as much as possible but always fall behind.

Kura - It's actually a very interesting movie.

Younger Man - Starts a little slow, but worth waiting for.

Happy Together - I'm not sure if this counts, but it's a pretty good Korean variety show.

Like Triple Lei, I'm also waiting for Rosemary. I haven't really heard anything about it, but I'm hoping it's just as good as Sangdoo since it's replacing it.

Triple Lei: If you wanted to start on a good kdrama, I would highly recommend Sangdoo! Let's Go To School, although it's going to finish tonight (last 2 eps).

I don't know if this counts or not, but I have also taken quite a liking to Teruteru Family. I have the NHK channel, which comes from live satellite from Japan, and Teruteru Family is the new morning J-Drama, that might or might not air after Honmamon.

Re: Poll: How many C/J/K dramas are you watching??

I'm watching . . .

J-Dramas:
Honmamon – started off strong, but seems to be fading down the stretch.
Younger Man – slow start for me, but we’ll see.
Kura – also a slow start, but episode 2 was better.
I tried, but I just couldn’t get into Musashi – but I’m looking forward to giving its replacement a fair shake when it arrives.

K-Dramas:
One Million Roses – holding my interest, it’s ok but not great.
Sang-doo, Let’s Go To School! – I hated it at first, but now I really like it!
Age of Warriors – though it had been in a serious slump, it’s gotten amazingly good lately.
Oh yes, I also watch Happy Together, but I liked it much better with the old hosts. emoticon

I don’t usually watch the C-Dramas – it’s just too much work to follow them without English subtitles. I’ve watched a few in the past, but they have to be REALLY good to hold on to me if they don’t have English subtitles.

BTW, some of the correspondents to the Chicago K-drama board have commented that the new K-drama Rosemary was a real turkey. Guess we’ll find out for ourselves soon enough.

That sucks, creidesca. That's why when you set the VCR, always make sure that you go like five minutes after the show ends, just in case it goes over the alloted timeslot, 'cause a lot of dramas, do that.

I was very careful. The timeslot of the drama is from 9:35-10:30, I had set it to tape from 9:28pm-10:39pm, but it turned out it didn't end till 10:45pm...I wouldn't have found out if I didn't flip by the channel at that time...by then I was somewhat out of tape too (taped in SP mode)

well, I found out what the drama to replace HZGG3 was...if you want to find out, either look at the website, or in the HZGG3 thread

Oh, that sucks more. When you're just six minutes early. :/ I hate when dramas do that.

Wow, do you know if the new T-Drama has subs?

it will definitely have tranditional chinese subs, that I guarantee, don't know how much I want to see it, but 2 beautiful girls are in there (not that I'm like a fan of theirs, but I do like one of them)
