Can I ask a question, Do they air Ruroni Kenshin at all anymore, on any channels, or are they only on DVD now in the US. I know its not on AS on CN anymore, I think it was replaced by Zatch Bell or something.

Unfortunately, as far as I'm aware, it's not on the air currently, which is why it doesn't have the on air post icon Image in the topic list page.

Oh well, I hope they air it again. Is it on DVD, because I want to pickup a few.

I've been intending to buy the prequel DVD for a while, the one that deals with the Shinsengumi. I've read very good things about it, plus I have an interest because of the recent Shinsengumi! TV series. But, instead I've been spending my money on things like Japanese dictionaries. emoticon emoticon

LOL - Charles. Spend your money on Japanese language supplies and then save up to get the Japanese version. It would be more enjoyable, I'm sure. emoticon

Your'e probably right, Greg

Id be pretty dumb, to buy the Japanese versions of my anime favorites and not speak a single word of Japanese.

A suggestion: Check out amazon and look up the kenshin series. Buy the used versions. I don't think I've ever read a reference that say these are different from the Japanese versions, which is a good thing. Sometimes music changes, like I noticed some differences in between the Japanese Initial D and the american releases. Buying the used copies saves a lot of money! and they are very good quality. The american releases all have the japanese language track with english subs. Also, there are 22 discs, the two OVAs (Samurai X Trust and Betrayal) that show how Kenshin became Kenshin, and then the recently released director's cut. Haven't gotten that one yet.

These should all be available for rent also from your local dvd rental place. I don't think Blockbuster has them, but some of the other chains, like Hollywood may. This series is so long, you have to spend about the equivalent of two korean dramas just to pay for the whole Kenshin series! Gotta weigh your priorities!
