…AZN TV stuff
Hi all,
This is Gary from AZN TV. I read through the posts here, and I thought I'd comment on a few of them.
One person was wondering why I hadn't joined this group and posted stuff myself. Quite frankly, AZN Television is a small company (and as many of you know, it's going to get much smaller very soon). I simply couldn't keep up with all the boards, in addition to doing my other tasks. CCWF has been doing an excellent job of keeping you (this board) updated, and I appreciate his help very much!!
It seems as though some of you have had a problem with me. I can't blame you. I do the best I can. I've been a one person customer service department since I started here, almost seven years ago. however, between the volume of e-mails and my other duties, I'll be honest - I haven't been able to keep up as well as I would have liked.
I'll be gone from the channel soon, so hopefully the next person will do a better job, if there is another person. It's possible (and likely) customer service will go away.
Regarding the web site - yes, sometimes we have gotten behind with the dramas. For example, Jewel in the Palace stayed up long after the series ended. The reason for this was simple. We wanted to promote our series Yao in the NBA in the places where we had promoted Jewel in the Palace. However, the creative elements for Yao were not in place when Jewel ended. As a result, we continued to have Jewel in some of the banners, rather than post a drama for a few days only to have to take it down to replace with Yao.
We are trying to keep it updated in a more timely fashion.
Let me know if you have any more questions, and I'll do my best to get back to you.
Gary

I read your previous updates that ccwf relayed to us in these months. Thank you for all your hard work Gary. I am shocked that customer service might be removed completely. Is there anything we can do to help keep your job Gary, or to get AZN to keep customer service?
Thank you for the update as well, I am looking forward to Winter Sonata, Secret and Full House!

…Thank you!!
Thank you for your kind words!
I asked them to reconsider their decision, but I knew it was a long shot. I appreciate your support!

Gary, is there any chance AZN will put the dramas on primetime? I think this would boost AZN's viewer ratings quite a bit. AZN tends to reair several of the shows twice a day, maybe some of these can be scaled back to make room for a better schedule. I'm not sure if this is even possible now with all the changes going on at AZN. Food for thought...
PS. Where do you guys get the english subtitles for some of your shows. Is this something AZN does themselves? First Love of a Royal Prince is not available anywhere with english subtitles, I'm desperately wanting this one.
Maybe AZN should consider selling some of their shows on DVD for added revenue.
I can't believe they are thinking of getting rid of customer service entirely. Is there anything we can do to help. Maybe email AZN or Comcast. AZN would be dealt a major blow by your removal/removal of customer service.

Filipino News
Beginning December 26, Filipino News will air Monday through Friday at noon ET, and repeat M-F at 8:30 pm ET. This should be much better for our Filipino viewers. In addition, the news is largely in English, and gives a great perspective which we usually don't get here.

…English subs
We send the dramas out for subtitling, but honestly I don't know who does it. Sometimes they do a better job than at other times.
We cannot make the programs we air on AZN TV available for purchase. Of course, you can always tape the programs, as long as they are for your own personal use.
I imagine First Love (and Pretty Wild Girl) will be available with English subs soon, given the growing popularity of Korean dramas in the US.
