Re: K-Drama: 사랑을 믿어요 (My Love, My Family)

In one of the beginning episodes Sung Woo's father said that his wife loved him when they married. This made me think she started her marriage with the right intentions. The fact that Sung Woo had no interest in her could have soured her. Who knows? But, we'll see.

I was watching an unsubtitled episode slightly ahead. class reveal Image class spoiler Some woman, apparently someone Donghun did not know, told him to come to the museum. That would point to someone on the museum staff who knew the immediate whereabouts of both Hyejin and Sung Woo. This person hoped that Hyejin's husband would catch her in a compromising situation. I have my suspect but no details since these forums do not allow spoilers.

The one that i called HyeJin's friend is the one who offer HyeJin work at the museum.
She's nice..

Still wondering who is the person who sent Donghun the photos?
There are only two possibilities...
(the professor's wife or Sangwu's wife...)

One angle which might have been overlooked is a professional rivalry within the museum. For those watching from the beginning, was any museum staffer passed over to give the assistant director position to Hyejin? To allege a romantic involvement between the director and assistant director could place both of their jobs in jeopardy. And who told Sung Woo's wife about Hyejin?

Efparri, you might be right about K-men with mustaches! LOL! The wildly plaid suit and beret kind of offset anything serious about him in my mind, though.
As for Sungwu's wife, I can't see her bothering with something as boring as sending photos to Donghun. She'd rather physically attack Hyejin and then move to the Big Boys for support—probably her FIL, Sungwu's dad.
 Maybe it was Sungwu's father.
LOL the man with the mustaches...

but personally i don't think that Sang wu did that awful things.. afterall, he only saw Donghun once... and he might not remember Donghun...

BTW, The way Woo Jin treats Yoon Hee at his room was so different...
The last time Woo Jin saw her messing up with his things, he did silly things towards Yoon Hee.. LOL when i remember that scene...
Really loved their chemistry... emoticon

Good point about the professional rivalry, Efparri. When Hyejin first applied at the gallery, I don't believe it was for a "vice-director" position. In fact, didn't Sungwu at first say she wasn't qualified for the job she interviewed for? Later, he decided he wanted her around so he called her and gave her the high level job. I do recall it raised the eyebrows of the two other workers there, so they could very well be resentful of Sungwu's unwarranted favoritism.

As far as we've seen, no one told Wifey about Hyejin. When Sungwu and Hyejin came back from a fun day together, Wifey intercepted them at the top of the building steps. Sungwu was a little too happy for being with only an employee and Wifey suspected there must be something going on between them. Later, when she talked privately with Sungwu, she brought it up, asking him if he was interested in Hyejin. He got one of those deer in the headlights looks and didn't respond. Wifey knew then that Sungwu had feelings for Hyejin and presumed it was mutual with Hyejin. As Wifey left Sungwu's office, she and Hyejin met in the hallway. That's when Wifey hauled off and slapped her hard, drawing a line in the sand that Sungwu was her husband and to keep away.

I first thought it was wifey who had the pics sent to Hyejin's hubby.. But when those three (friends) were chatting they were all bad mouthing Hyejin and the professor's wife made a comment wondering if Hyejin's husband knows that she is spending all this time w/Sungwu.

And even before that, the professor's wife had been at the museum looking at art and when she saw Hyejin's painting there she was instantly irritated. Why would they hang a last year student's painting with famous paintings. Definite jealousy. I suppose a good reason to send pics (to bring Hyejin down).

The question is how would the professor's wife know where Sung Woo and Hyejin were going. I suspect an inside job. It takes a while to setup ahead of thime to take candid snapshots. You have to lie in wait in a strategically hidden location.

It could be an inside job by someone involved with the gallery. But it could be someone on the outside, too, like the Professor's wife. It is easy to hire someone to follow another without knowing in advance where they are going. And, with photos so easy to take anywhere at any time not needing a stand alone camera these days, it wouldn't be difficult for a Private Investigator to candidly take photos. The pictures were through windows or lattice work, from across a bar or from another car, so the photographer didn't have to be all that close to Sungwu and Hyejin.

Hyejin is a strange person. Every time someone asks her a question, her answer is always the equivalent of "huh?" I find it very hard to take her slowness of mind all the time. Besides that, she just doesn't seem to have any presence of mind or common sense. It was laughable that she should blame Sungwu for Wifey picking on her, with her innocent "What did I do to deserve....." Hyejin acts like she has nothing to do with her situation with Sungwu, like she doesn't enjoy being in his arms, going out places with him, accepting all the career perks he provides for her. Who makes her lie to Donghun about where she is and who she's with and that she prefers being with Sungwu any old day over being with the commonplace husband and family? I guess the Devil must have made her do it and has erased her own responsibility from her consciousness. She seems to be in the biggest state of denial I've seen in a long time.

I'm having a hard time with this drama lately. LOL! Though I enjoy the Ujin character, every time I see Yunhui's face, I see Dewey of ....

Huey, Dewey, Donald, and Louie

For the time being, I think my favorite scenes are with Chulsu, Myeonghui, and Chulsuk. Lee Pilmo as Ujin is always interesting to watch... such a good actor in both drama and comedy. I'm also liking Donghun more these days. It's too tiresome watching him always be a doormat, so it's a nice change of pace to see him having some reactions these days. The mother (Donghun's mom) has also become a woman who grates on my nerves big time. She is a professional whiner/criticizer. She and Ujin's parents are my current winners of the Mute Button Award.

Okay, so much for the complaining...

I'm with Woodstocks on really liking the Ujin and Yunhui storyline. I could watch Lee Pilmo in just about anything & love him. I also see nchristie's point about Yunhui though. The character can be a difficult to watch sometimes. LOL on the Dewey reference. For me that's due to her being so very awkward around people, sometimes around Ujin and definitely around his mother. I usually think of her as a deer looking in the headlights. I've been chalking the awkwardness up to her personal history. I do think the actress is doing a good job playing her as so awkward though. I have seen her in other roles where she can come off as much more normal/comfortable in her own skin.

I have no idea who sent Donghun the pictures, and I don't really care who did - just enjoying all the speculation here. I am just glad that someone did send him the pictures. That guy really needed to get get a clue!

Yunhui is so awkward because she has to behave in the middle of that family that isn't her real family. so her reaction and behaviour is adapted to that situation.
The character she's playing now is so much better than the early episodes. Less crying and adapting Woo Jin's behaviour...

LOL on the Dewey reference..
