Re:

Apparently ICN decided it wasn't worth to have the english-version of ICN in LA. Not too many people watch the channel? I called their contact # last week and was told that the 44.8 channel no longer exists. If you check their homepage, ICN 44.8 is also taken off. They only have their english version channel for San Francisco and New York now.

You can still catch the english ICN online, but it looks like the feed is either the San Francisco or New York feed. According to the website, Chinese Traditional Magic will start sometime on Nov 14 on one of those english channels, so I hope I'll be able to continue where I left off of when ICN took 44.8 off the air.

Re: What happened to Channel ICN Ch. 44.8?

If thats so, what a shame that it did not pan out - Admittedly I never watched the channel regularly it did have some awesome momements:

-Episodes of "Story China" about a (the first?) Chinese woman forensic doctor, a African-Chinese woman who competed in a national television talent show, the background of the first Chinese atomic bomb.

-The "iPartment" series. Its funny on so many levels how Chinese adapted American humor to a sitcom.

-The saturday night movies were just strange, except that one about woman with no arms training to be a doctor - whatwas it called "Wings"? Something like that?

ICN's online live stream is following the NY schedule. Episode 1 of the drama Chinese Traditional Magic began Friday night, episode 2 to start Monday night.
