Taiwanese Dramas
Would Taiwanese dramas fall under the Chinese section of this board or are they not discussed at all? I know they're not the same country, even though China claims it is part of their country, but it would just seem it would fit since most Taiwanese dramas speak the same language.
Just asking. Thanks.

Yes, Taiwanese dramas are in the Chinese Forum.

Re:
As nchristi pointed out, TW dramas fall under the Chinese forum.
LA-18 occasionally airs a TW drama, but I'm guessing w/ the decline of the TW idol drama, they are showing less and less TW dramas and instead opting to show Mainland dramas that stars a TW actor or actress in the first or second lead role (i.e. 7pm Lan Ling Wang starring Ariel Lin, which just started on Tues, Oct 8th).
ICN 44.6 is currently airing the TW idol drama Happy 300 Days, and re-airing the long TW drama Sisters.
STV USA 62.6 will begin airing the TW idol drama Big Red Riding Hood on 10/29.

Re: Taiwanese Dramas
Yes, and although I'm not sure how often they are aired, you can discuss Hong Kong (Cantonese) dramas in the Chinese forum, as well.

Re: Taiwanese Dramas
Wow, thanks everyone. Again, sorry about the other thread. Are the digital channels the only ones they are typically aired on? I usually get my fix from the interwebs but it would be nice if, as creidesca mentioned, channel 18 started airing more of these so I could DVR them.
While we're on the subject as well, finding soundtracks for TW dramas is sooooo difficult! I was hoping Chinatown might be able to point me in the right direction but it might be pushing it. Anyone have any ideas?

Anyone have any ideas? If Chinatown doesn't work, you might want to check Monterey Park, San Gabriel, or Alhambra. Compared to Chinatown, I believe there is a larger Taiwanese population in those areas, so you might be able to find something in an entertainment store there. They might be able to point you in the right direction. Good luck!

Do you know somewhere specifically in Monterey Park or at least a specific area? I'm not too familiar with those cities.

I'm not too familiar with those cities.I'm sorry, I don't keep up with Chinese/Taiwanese dramas, so I'm not too familiar with any specific stores that may sell drama DVDs or soundtracks. I do know that Valley Blvd (which runs through Monterey Park and San Gabriel) has quite a few Chinese plazas, so you can try looking for any music stores on that street and in that general area.
