And the deed is done. Nothing is able to stop the Yongsuk wedding. Marie's potential intervention only leads to Gija intercepting her and labor kicking in and having to be rushed to the hospital. Aunt, Giyoung, had it right, with her words to try to reason with Yongsuk and Gija, and reminding him that he is dooming his son to the same fate he had to endure, a hard and poor life without a father... even against those words, Yongsuk is undeterred in reaching his ambitions... The wedding went forward.
Poor Marie, wonder what she'll do next. It seems like Gija might be developing some feelings for her grandson.
Funny moment when Baekro mentioned to Seungshil, Jaryong's mom, that to her Gija is so impossible to understand, like she's from another planet! LOL!
Another aspect I'm getting a kick out of, the kids are having love and tension bloom, Jaryong and Gongju and Jaryong and Yongsuk, respectively... Funny because while the mother's are very close friends, not enough to intermingle the families yet. Wait til Baekro and Gija find out who Jaryong is in being snubbed as he was previously... And funny that Baekro could end up marrying both her daughters to the sons of her closest friends!

Ohhhhhh! Gija's daughter... the earlier scene made it seem that the girl died, but perhaps she was simply abandoned at the hospital??? Dum, dum, dummmmmm... As Yongsuk and Jinju are already married, that would make them brother/sister as well as husband/wife: a big NO-NO in KDramaLand. Unless something happens on the honeymoon and they did not have their First Night festivities... dum, dum, dummmmm...
How many episodes? Yongsuk is a great villain, lots of villainy in store for future episodes. I love the way Baekro is such a breathy dummy. She always speaks in a breathy, Jackie-O, finishing-school way, but is really the same as Gija and Jaeryong's mother. They were all three school-mates.
I hope this doesn't get goofy like Smile, Donghae.

Last night's episode on MBC Digital, LA18.3, was preempted for breaking news coverage. I only recorded the timeframe and was not watching live until I tried to watch the recording this morning.
Did anyone watch after the news coverage, did the episode air after the news coverage?

Thanks for the info, nsheldon. Glad I did not miss it, would have been annoyed if it aired after my DVR stopped recording! Last night and this afternoon aired/will air the episode in question, saw the intro last night but will have to wait to record and watch the repeat airing today.

The writers need to push this story along a little more. We've been watching this impasse between Jaryong and Gongju for long enough. We get it. It's getting tiresome.
Not sure why the Marie storyline is being retained. Unless the possibility still exists that Yongsuk and Jinju do not remain married, which means maybe Jinju WILL end up with her real love and his daughter. One can only hope.
It's starting to look like Yongsuk made a self-fulfilling prophecy when he had told Marie earlier that his marriage-to-be was a "fake" marriage.
