Re: J-Star: 阿部寛 Abe Hiroshi
Taitei-no-ken is the name of the huge sword in the film.
The owner of the title sword is Genkuro Yorozu (Hiroshi Abe), a tall, lanky, devil-may-care warrior. His weapon, which looks to be as long as a high jump pole, is made of an extraterrestrial metal called orichalcum that gives its user superpowers. There are two other objects made of this metal on the planet -- a cross and a double-bladed dagger. The one who possesses all three will be able to rule the world. Genkuro is on a quest to find them and, an indication of his good-guy character, present them to someone worthy of them... read more.

Re: J-Star: 阿部寛 Abe Hiroshi
I have always admired Abe Hiroshi. I really liked him in Musashi. He can play a villain and then turn around and do a comic role. I also think he is quite handsome.

J-Star: 阿部寛 Abe Hiroshi
I recently watched one of Abe's newer shows Kekkon Dekinai Otoko (man who doesn't marry/Man who can't get Married) and think it was really good. I ended up watching the whole show (12 episodes) in 2 1/2 days.

This is really random but while going through videos (getting ready for weekend taping) I found an episode of Dragon Zakura that I taped....Abe Hiroshi is one handsome man.

,but I think it's still in the production stage right now so I don't know who it's really centered on.

Re: J-Star: 阿部寛 Abe Hiroshi
I heard Abe will be in the television version of Tengoku to Jigoku/ High and Low. I saw the original (1963)movie recently, it was really good. Hope the show comes to America soon after they film it.

Re: J-Star: 阿部寛 Abe Hiroshi
I was just in the Oreskaband blog and found out about another film Abe was recently in, Densen uta aka:The Suicide Song.
It's a thriller centered on an urban legend about a song that fatally affects those who listen. Here is the website for the film (Japanese): http://www.densen-uta.jp/index2.html
While I was looking for that I also found Jigyaku No Uta aka:Happily Ever After, that according to IMDb is in Post-production. It's a comedy movie based on a manga.
