Re: Poll: How many C/J/K dramas are you watching??
No, I never watched Honmamon at all. The problem is it airs at 7:30 in the morning and I have school or never wake up on time. I guess I could leave it taping, but the few eps I've seen didn't hook me.

I see. The Morning Dramas are on too early, in my opinion. If KSCI airs them in the evening every day instead of the plethora of Korean dramas it would be nice.

Re: Poll: How many C/J/K dramas are you watching??
The only morning drama I really liked was Churasan. I didn't really feel like Honmamon or Sakura were good enough dramas to wake up that early and watch. I just think the SK community is so much bigger than the Chinese or Japanese that both KSCI and KXLA air significantly more Korean dramas that other. If it's any consolation, KSCI does air Chinese/Taiwanese dramas at 7:00 . Basically, if the morning dramas were of better quality, I would watch them.

Re: Poll: How many C/J/K dramas are you watching??
My recollection of the data from the last Census for Los Angeles is that there about twice as many (self-identified) Chinese as Koreans and roughly twice as many Koreans as Japanese. Unfortunately, detailed info is temporarily unavailable from the Census site, so I can't cite precise numbers.

Seeing as my theory has been disproven, I have absolutely no idea why so many more Korean dramas are aired than Chinese or Japanese dramas. But I definitely agree with Greg the morning dramas should be later on in the day.

This is HanadaTattsu, reporting with a new screen name.
Well, I do know that there are many South Koreans in Southern California, but still, there's like five South Korean dramas aired on both KXLA and KSCI every night. I know that at least there are dramas airing from China and Taiwan nightly, but there is not sufficient ammount for the Japanese community.

Re: Poll: How many C/J/K dramas are you watching??
Census site is back up. Here are the demographics for the L.A./Orange County/Riverside area from the Y2K Census.
• 329,352 Chinese
• 186,350 Korean
• 111,349 Japanese
Unfortunately, I can't include a working link to the full page from the Census site, probably because the URL is way, way too long.

Thanks so much!
Wow, I would never imagine that there are more Chinese/Taiwanese in Los Angeles than Koreans. In North Los Angeles, the percentage of Koreans are higher. Japanese, as thought have a low number.

Re: Poll: How many C/J/K dramas are you watching??
Update to the dramas I'm currently watching/will soon to watch:
under the Japanese dorama category: Shiroi Kyoto (Great White Tower), Yonger Man, Fire Boys
Under the Korean drama category: Rosemary, Match Made in Heaven
Under the Chinese drama category: No. 8 Pawn Shop (would have included Eternity/Chinese Ghost Story, but I already have the series in viet dubbed since it was released 2-3months before the airing of the series on TV)
--- Currently a Clinical Laboratory Scientist at Cedar-Sinai Medical Center's Transfusion Medicine (Blood Bank) department

Younger Man - of course
Good Luck - of course
Chinese/Taiwanese -
7:00 Drama - I will begin watching this; I like those imperial Taiwanese dramas.
