I'm not going to bother with an episode summary since there are numerous episode summaries available on the WWW, including ones from theOtaku.com and this one.
Here is a script for the first episode in Japanese. Note: This script starts with a scene not shown by Cartoon Network and which I haven't seen in any episode summaries!? (The scene contains Tsukasa and Silver Knight.)
Characters in Order of Appearance (not including missing scene):

Note: 司 is also one of the characters in Tsukasa's real world name.

Thank you for those links, Ccwf.
Hack//SIGN is a very unique anime. I recommend it, but having read the manga I don't exactly know terribly much about the anime. I will watch out for it on CN.

† The Cartoon Network version says “fond”, but the Japanese version uses 慕う, “to adore”.

In Japanese, do the words fond and adore become synonyms? You could say adore is an extreme form of fond..?

I checked a couple of dictionaries, and they made it pretty clear that 慕う is a lot more than just being fond of someone (for which they probably would have just employed the much used 好き). Also, 慕う is not necessarily romantic, although it is in this case. Still, someone who knows Japanese better would be far more qualified to answer that question.

My guess is that the unusual pronunciation of Macha comes from Celtic lore (e.g., Eamhain Macha). Aura/Macha/Morganna could be a female triple, corresponding to the triples often fond in Celtic myth, consisting of the Morrigan, Macha, and one of various others depending on the myth (the myths are many and conflicting as to their names and roles).
