The rumble I've heard is that the Buss/Jackson triangle may be heating up because Kobe and Phil just aren't making it together anymore. And we all know which one leaves when it's between a player and a coach. (Maybe Jeannie will pack up her fishing gear on her Harley and go to Idaho(?), too. Or maybe it's a non-issue if Kobe ends up breaking rocks with a sledge hammer.) Also, what I've heard is that Dr. Buss wants Kobe to retire as a Laker and doesn't feel quite that way about Shaq.

Re: 姚明 (Yao Ming)
ccwf, I agree that Yao Ming cannot become a team leader if he exhibits lack of energy and drive. The whole premise of leading any team (sports or otherwise) to victory is a never-ending fortitude. Isn't that what Trump depicts and looked for in his apprentice? Don't most successful individuals get by on as little as 3-4 hrs of sleep? A leader can't give up. There always must be that final push at the wall to victory.

Re: 姚明 (Yao Ming)
That was one of the most amazing games I've ever seen... I don't think I've ever seen two winning shots within one second... unbelievable!
Both shots were lucky... both were defended beautifully... both were off balance shots... both went in...
I lost twenty to my son... the best twenty I lost in a long time...
Go Lakers!!!!!

Re: 姚明 (Yao Ming)
Plagiarizing from myself: 引用 (quote): Fisher also said, well after the game, that the time running out, turnaround jumper is part of his practices. So, yes, it was a lucky shot, but it was also the product of hard work and practice (and a momentary screen by Malone and a good pass from Payton).
Kobe also clearly gave his all in the first three quarters and was spent at the end. In fact, after the game, the team was delayed leaving because Kobe was put on an IV.

Re: 姚明 (Yao Ming)
99% hard work, 1% luck? Well said, ccwf. Since he practices that very shot, hard to believe luck had anything to do with it. Did not hear about the IV bus., however I have been thinking Bryant must have superior inner strength to be moving from one mind-set to another w/o becoming emotionally detached. Hope the LAKERS can bring the title home. Now, where...did...I..put..that...banner?

Re: 姚明 (Yao Ming)
grobanite,
first of all... if it wasn't for ccwf and some of the other guys on this post who babied me through... step by step, I wouldn't have even been able to type a reply... so let's nip this in the bud... I am not computer literate... far from it...
in fact ccwf showed me how to put images on the website... it's fairly simple... the way I do it is when I find the image I like, I right click on the image, go to "Properties", open it, and copy the http info that shows up... then when you make reply on this post you click on the "insert image" icon... then paste it in the selection shown... that's it... I'm not sure if I'm doing it right or even if it's legal... but it works...
The real computer geniuses are the ones who made this forum and other users like ccwf and Takumi68... and to them I give a big thank you! Arigato!

Re: 姚明 (Yao Ming)
Yes, copying and pasting after bringing up properties is the easiest/best way to do it in Internet Explorer under Windows. With Mozilla/Netscape, it's even easier—there's a menu item that puts the image URL directly into the clipboard.
