Would you believe... class ul class li when I was four I was bit in the face by a dog who sank his teeth completely through the hollow of my cheek and the corner of my mouth? The dog was very clever and placed his bite well. Everyone has always mistaken it for a neat dimple on my right cheek. class li I can write upside down and/or backwards with either hand independently, or with both hands at the same time.

Officially I am right-handed (I don't think I was forced into that when I was two-ish), but I do many things left-handed. (Yep, my corpus callosum is all screwed up! emoticon) Personality sorters score me almost in the middle of both right- and left-brained (last one was 49-51).

Maybe the real answer is that my brother bounced grapefruits off the top of my head when I was three months old!

nchristi, that's some scary stuff right there with that dog bite.

Also, you're ambidextrous!

Would you believe my favorite music genre is Trance?

OMG, I remember this topic! Thanks for finding it, GiiM. It's a great way of reliving some of the great discussions and times we've had on CJK over the years. emoticon

Well, first I had to look up what Trance music is! LOL! Here's the Wikipedia article.

GilM, do you rev up listening to this music? ... or wind down? It's interesting stuff. I wasn't at all surprised that its roots are German. As trance is more melodic and harmonic than much dance music[citation needed], the construction of trance tracks in such a way is particularly important in order to avoid dissonant (or "key clashing," i.e., out of tune with one another) mixes. The 'respites' (if I can call them that) sound like they're little breathers to give the heart a break from that driving, relentless beat. Music's effects on individuals is a study in itself. I've often wondered if musical sound is an alternate plane unto itself that profoundly affects the physical realm of everything around us.

The Dog - I was four and was pulling its tail while it was eating. What else could he do but bite me? The most upsetting part was that the officials got the wrong dog. I kept pleading with them that they were taking an innocent dog, but who listens to a little kid? That haunted me forever. Strangely, I was never afraid of dogs even after the bite and hospital routine—which was many times more scary and terrifying to me than the dog bite.
