Re: J-drama Trick 2
Sure. In the beginning, this old man who owns an inn in the countryside of Japan visits Ueda, who has become a proffesor, and published a new book, on how supernatural phenomenons (sp?) are fake. BTW, some time has passed since the end of Season 1, it is now January. This man says that every January 11, in his inn, somebody dies.
We then see Naoko, who has a new job as a magician. She basically re-introduces herself, but her audience all leaves, and she gets fired - again. After she goes home, the retarted landlady and guy from Bangladesh start pestering her, and then someone calls, and does the regular "I can read your mind" trick, but it turns out to be Ueda. He tells her that he's inviting her to the hotsprings, but in reality, he wants her to solve the case.
So, soon, they're off to the "hot springs". Meanwhile, this politician and his secretary go to Naoko's mom's school, and start asking her to vote for them, and she gives them this incense bag for good luck, to keep the Shinto spirits away. She's been acting wierd lately.
Then, they go to the inn too. Is that all? Or do you want more, if you do, please let me know, I'd be glad to help.
Well, for those of us living in the Western US, Trick 2 debuted. I for one, loved it.
This season seemed to leave the topic of spirtualists, and go on more with ghosts and such, something that Trick 1 lacked. They also add in goblins and such, and Naoko's mom (We finally found out her name, but I forgot :/) is acting wierd. I guess she still feels bad that she used her daughter, but they all seem to forget about her father in this season. Well, I guess they finally found out who it was (the islanders) so I guess they avenged his death.
Naoko and Ueda have drifted apart, that wierd writer's servant seems to be Ueda's latest "catch of the day". :o
This season seems much better than the first, but nobody will replace Miracle Mitsui.
What did you think?

Hmm...I wouldn't be surprised if these deaths is a way to deter ppl from coming to the area so the instigators can search for the treasure of the warriors

That was the first thing I thought of when I heard them mention the word "treasure," but I hope that's just a red herring. Otherwise, we'll pretty much be seeing nothing more than a remake of the last episodes of "Trick," only this time played out in the forest rather than on an island.
Still need to find out what the hell that little "goblin" is up to, though!

Re: J-drama Trick 2
I actually liked the fact that Ueda wasn't the clueless sidekick like he was for most of Trick1. I was really surprised (pleasantly) that he was doing most of the figuring out this time. But, that's not to say that he did it all on his own. He of course did have help, except now he's gotten smarter for one reason or another and I like that he's more involved now.

Re: J-drama Trick 2
I saw the second episode on Sunday, and it was great!
I think the reason Ueda has gotten smarter is for three reasons: He's a proffesor now, he's written a book, and he wants to show Naoko that he's better than her.
Poor Kurisu died. And her assistant.
I don't think it's the politician. I think its the clerks girlfriend, getting revenge on her, or something. I thought the case would be solved, but I guess not. Oh well, at least we found out the what the goblin and the ghost really were, and also the samurai pictures and bleeding eyes or whatever.

I think it's more like the clerk and his gf are the ones behind the whole thing...he had this sinister/conspirational look on his face towards the end of the episode.

i wanted to say the clerk too but they show him as a victim too. maybe its the innkeeper or those crazy old pple that keep chanting. i guess its a good thing that this is keeping us guessing but i really with the story would move on. ...even tho only eps. 2 is next... or so i think....

Well, I still think Trick sucks, but Creidesca - what is that Thunder Cops thing? That looks pretty awesome!
