Strange that they would sub this too. Oh well. It doesn't seem too too bad. I'm sad that I'm not at my computer to record it. emoticon

I watched the first episode of this and it wasn't as interesting as i thought it'd be but it has a nice lighthearted touch. I could have done without the silly rap opening song (Egg Fried Rice?!?) but yeah....this one seems more comical. Personally i'm into more serious histodramas like Warriors of the Yang Clan, the one that aired before Mars. BUt anyway...i suppose this show will have some good things about it. Oh and the CG effects look rather cheesy too.

I was rather surprised they subbed the theme song...the singer isn't the lead actor is it?

滿漢全席 Emperor's Banquet (Man Han Chuen Xi)

I asked someone to record it for me but they said it didn't have english subs? Egg fried rice...hm....I'm thinking its the song by Harlem Yu. That guy also sang the Meteor Garden I themesong.

the series has subs Kai Lien...I think the series has gotten much better from the initial epis, I actually found myself watching it last night while waiting for the KBS TV Novel 'Windflower' to start.

Re: C-Drama: 滿漢全席 Emperor's Banquet (Man Han Chuen Xi)

I have the first three episodes still taped in my Replay TV, but I have no idea how I can transfer that onto a computer so you can capture them.

I finally watched an episode of this show yesterday and it wasn't too bad. I do not like the special effects because it made the show a little cartoonish and the acting is a little over-the-top. But it is light-hearted and it has the requisite good guy/bad guy and the boy-gets-the-girl-in-the-end plot.

The translation is terrible because it has tons of missing words and grammatical errors (the Mars translation was far better), but for non-Chinese speakers, you can still understand the basic meaning of what the characters are saying. Someone should let KSCI/LA18 know that the translator and/or transcriber they used for this show is terrible.

I have this show taped so when I run out of things to watch, I can watch it.

DVArchive is the usual method.

This drama is English-subbed, right? Just a reminder, ccwf, that you might want to put the "Eng" icon in the column. I know personally that I've become spoiled by the Eng icon and now tend not to open a drama if I think it isn't subtitled.

Thanks for pointing out the omission.

Note that if you get AZN TELEVISION (the International Channel), they have three more subbed Chinese dramas for which no topics have yet been started. The C/J/K Drama Series on Cable/Satellite topic has schedule information for them plus info on how to find that channel on local cable lineups.
