OK. I've watched the first episode and tonights episode. I like this new drama. The actors are really good. I recorded the other three episodes and will watch this weekend. But, I'm already wrapped up in the two young love birds. Good stuff.

Re: C-Drama: 煙花三月 (Misty Love in Palace)
I find the story in the palace pretty intriguing. Exactly how did Ming-zhu, Rong-ruo, the emperor, and La-wang (the emperor's right hand man?) set up Ao-bai which led to his arrest? And what are all those things that Ming-zhu brought & showed Ao-bai that the Empress Dowager supposedly sent Ao-bai? Then when Ao-bai looked at them, he immediately felt cornered? I am lost.
In last night's ep, when Princess Zhen walked away from Rong-ruo while they were in a field somewhere and the Empress Dowager's men caught up with them to relay the message that the Empress wants Princess Zhen back to the palace, Rong-ruo saw something behind the Princess' dress then angrily asked her "Why did you lie to me?" What did Rong-ruo see and what did Princess Zhen lie to him about?

Just finished watching last nights episode. I have no answers to your questions.
But I've always felt that the emperor wanted Zhen Er for himself. Will have to wait for this one to play out.

I thought the emperor is interested in Saka Suhe(?)'s daughter (the one who rides horses well & who's imprisoned by Ao-bai after he killed her father). Besides, won't that be weird for the emperor to want his late father's concubine even though Princess Zhen didn't meet the late emperor and so therefore, she remains pure? As it was, the Empress found it scandalous that Rong-ruo was running around with Zhen when she is an imperial concubine.

What did Rong-ruo see and what did Princess Zhen lie to him about?I believe Princess Zhen faked spraining her ankle and let the soilders catch up to her. Rong-ruo sadly watched her walk off and noticed she wasn't limping at all, which leads him to angrily asking her, "Why did you lie to me?"
I can't really help answer the other part of your question since I'm also trying to figure out this complicated storyline. I watch with confusion with this C-drama, though I love the music.

I'm not sure if this is just how the drama is structured and things will unfold in the end or I'm missing something.
