C Drama: 千古風流一罈醋 (Jealousy in a Thousand Years of Romantic Love)
"Qian Gu Feng Liu Yi Tan Cu" literally mean
"Thousand years of romance, one pot of vinegar!"
This show is pretty good...and at times funny, so far. Lots of playboy-ish characters and lots of jealous women.
It's the same 30-episode series as Yueh Long Men, KSCI's 7pm mainland Chinese show.
I don't know too much about Chinese history, so I'm not sure whether these characters are true to history or fictional.
I can see the plots dragging out for 30+ episodes already.

there is really no need to watch the show anymore.
But....the show is fun to watch and the chemistry between Tien Niu and Adam Cheng is great. They are great actors!

This show should end some time this week or early next week.
I wonder what show will replace this show?

same here...I think it might end this Fri. We'll just have to wait.
This series according to my friend is based on the legend/tale about vinegar and salt? something like that.

Only until the end of this show do we figure out that the saying "eating vinegar" in Chinese has its historical source. When a person feels jealousy because the person he/she loves looks at another person or in love with another person. Sibling jealousy is another example of "eating vinegar".
Anyways, I saw the promo for the next serial. It's an Idol show.
I think it translates to:
"Love at the Aegean Sea". The female lead is Korean "Tsai Lin" and the male leads are from Taiwan and Hong Kong. The scenery should be beautiful. I don't know about the plot though.
This current show should end either tomorrow or Thursday.

That is quick! Love of the Aegean Sea just ended in TW 2 weeks ago!
the series stars Chae Rim, Alec Su, Peter Ho.
Scenery is definitely great since they did film in Greece. However as to storyline, it might not be as organized as the Ruby Lin/Han Jae Suk Amor de Tarapaca which replaced it.
According to news, Love of the Aegean Sea had 3 alternative endings, which TW fans could vote on, but even after the voting, CTS still decided to air the original ending (which can b found on the VCD/DVD set)
