TW-idol drama: 香草戀人館 Lover of Herb
According to the KSCI website, Lover of Herb will start noon on Friday, December 16th, 2005

Brief summary:
Ee Ke-Fan, who grew up on an herb farm, takes over his father's restaurant. He asked his sister to be the chef and changed the name of the restaurant to "Lover of Herb," but then they started to have suspicions that they are not really related by blood, i.e. they are not siblings.
The backdrop of this drama is this restaurant and the story will revolve around the employees and the guests. Obviously, a love story will emerge from it.

It's actually a pretty good show. Again, the second male lead is stealing the show (as in Heaven's Wedding Gown). I have all the shows taped so I will be happy to answer any questions you may have about this show.
The lead actor, Zhang Tien-Ling is doing his best, but he has one "tortured" look on his face throughout the show--the same look he has in Secret Garden 1 and 2. Same haircut too.
This show is very much like a Harlequin romance novel, so it's easy to digest (pardon the pun.)

Welcome Sonkim and Nicknack to this forum.
I will try to provide a brief summary of this show soon. But basically a brother and sister grew up in a farm operated by their maternal grandfather and mother.
One day, the brother finds out that he was adopted into this family and his birth father offered him a job at a restaurant (hence the title of this show) as the manager. Apparently, his mother and father met there so his father bought this restaurant to remember his mother by. His father is a world-renown Japanese landscaper but for some reason was not able to bring the brother back to Japan after his mother died.
The restaurant cook quit the job soon after the brother took charge. So he called up his sister and asked her to come cook for the restaurant. The sister is a talented cook and uses variety of herbs to enhance her dishes.
The bartender fell in love with the sister at first sight and there lies the conflict because the brother loves the sister too and although they know they are not related by blood, they don't know how to progress their relationship from sibling love to romantic love. So meanwhile, the bartender and the sister are going out and the brother is watching them from afar.
There are many side stories that had to do with each of the regular characters who work at the restaurant, plus stories related to their patrons.
The current episodes deals with the brother, now working on a landscaping project, who is being used by a college friend to produce a design for a project. The bartender overheard the friend talking to a project rival regarding their scheme to steal the brother's designs.

This reminds me of the Korean show dubbed in Chinese from a few years ago. The original Korean name for the drama was "Autumn in My Heart." In the drama, two baby girls had their name tags switched by accident in the hospital. So the two families raised the girl that wasn't their real daughter, and yea, one of the brothers ended up liking his "sister." Although I kinda thought it was gross cuz they liked each other romantically even before they found out they weren't blood related. haha...that's just me though. =P
But back to Lover of Herb...I love the songs! They're so...happy. hehe....(well, most of them anyway)
