not really, the closest for a S'porean drama to air here in the US was Legend of the Snake Spirits (aired last yr on KSCI), as the 2 main leads were S'porean actor/actress (Christopher Lee and Fann Wong of Shanghai Knights fame), while the rest of the actors/actresses for the series were taiwan actors/actresses

I know KSCI had aired a Philippine drama last year or the year before last

Wow, Phillipino drama? How funny, that's cool. WHat airtime did they air it at, during the Chinese drama time? Was it subbed?

If I'm not wrong, it aired during the 3 or 4pm timeslot, the timeslot that the current Phillipine entertainment variety program Eat Baluga is airing at

No, I don't really see any other asian dramas other than korean and chinese. If I do, then it would be for a special occasion.

Yeah, thought so. I wonder why KSCI only airs Japanese, Taiwanese, South Korean, or Chinese dramas. There's a lot more Asian programming just waiting to be plucked from the tree out there.

Don't mean to re-awaken this topic, but out of the current dramas being aired right now, which one is Chinese and which one is Taiwanese?

both are actually Taiwanese dramas--the noon timeslot was made for a TW station even tho it was a collaboration b/w TW, HK, S'porean, and Chinese mainland artists, the 7pm timeslot drama is also TW even tho the main lead is HK

Okay, thanks Sandy. So basically, both are Taiwanese even though some characters are from different countries.

nope. for me, it's KTSF.

KTSF and KSCI are obviously different channels (hence the different call letters emoticon). The International Channel is available nationally but only on cable and not on satellite.

The International Channel, KSCI, and KIKU (Hawaii) are all part of the same company (which has had various names). There's been talk that they and KTSF will join up to form and head a national network focusing on Asian programming.
