Interesting. In case this bit of info is of any value to you, star1, I saw no abnormalities in your posts on either my old or new computer until you recently changed over to Firefox. (?)

For example, see 5-HR MUSIC FESTIVAL PROGRAM - DECEMBER 31st, posted in mid-December.

ccwf, thx for the response. Also, did you see the additional items I edited onto my original post? I may have added them too late for you to notice before you posted your reply.

No, I didn't.

May as well add the other weird things I've been experiencing lately. Just now, I was reading a post from Tangpriest on My Precious Child topic and as I started to move my mouse, (didn't click on anything), I was suddenly on one of your business website pages, ccwf. Even if my mouse "shorted out" and entered a click of some sort, I don't see anything at the bottom of that MPC page that is a link to an inside page of your website. (Didn't look like a main page.)

I don't know what could cause that either. Let me know if it happens again, I guess.

Also, recently I've quite a few times had appear suddenly on my screen some sort of sign-in/password box for luvnbehappy. That one I really can't figure out.

That should be happening to everyone (it happens to me, too). luvnbehappy's web site requires a password to see luvnbehappy's signature image.

posticon How to Link to a Post within a Topic

A Runboard URL looks like
http://com1.runboard.com/bcjkdramasincalifornia.fmainchat.t5|offset=20#post26
The #postNo part is optional.

The number after the offset controls which post is at the top of the page. The #postNo, if present, tells the browser to scroll down to that post in the page.

posticon Re: Runboard FAQ

Runboard now has a fledgling Wiki where people can post answers for common questions. (Of course, it's brand new, so there's not much there, yet.)

Re: Runboard FAQ

I notice that each email notification I receive has a "topic" number. For example, below the "...fdiscussion.t92...." links me to the K-drama Loveholic:

http://com1.runboard.com/bcjkdramasincalifornia.fdiscussion.t92|notification_key=c086a336895cc4f918eb033098f8e742

My question: Is there a viewable list that shows the number for each topic on CJK?

When I read the email notification of a newly posted message, I would like to be able to recognize which topic it is coming from (without having to actually go there). I can manually create my own list, of course, but I was wondering if one already exists somewhere.

I completely agree. I would love for the email notifications to include the topic subject in the email notification subject. Unfortunately, they don't. emoticon

On your original question, Firefox and Mozilla owners can bring up the Page Info when viewing Hot Topisc or a particular forum (like the Korean Drama section). Click on the Links tab in Page Info, and you will then see a list of topic titles and numbers. It's not a complete list, however, just a list of the links on that page. There's also no way to search within the Page Info.

If you would like, I could add visible topic numbers to the Hot Topics page. That doesn't list all topics, but there's a good chance a notification would be for one of the most viewed topics there.

Re: Question on Runboard Boards

classblockquoteccwf wrote:classblockquotenchristi wrote:

Is there any place that shows a list of all the Runboards currently up and running? How does a person find new and interesting places to visit (other than a subject search via search engine)?
There's no list of all Runboards as far as I'm aware.

However, there is The Advert, a Runboard for advertising Runboards.
Since that original reply was posted, we now have a topic for Web Sites of Interest with a list of Asian Runboards and other Runboards of active members, and I very recently created a Runboard Add-on Stats page listing most boards using my Quick Reply and Google Search add-ons, together with their descriptions and up to fifteen of their most viewed top public topics of the past week.

Oh, wow! emoticon The Page View on Hot Topics provides more info than I had expected to see. Is it possible, somehow, to copy and paste the info from Page View? Is PrintScreen the only way? And, then, if there were only a way to do a sort by number. Not a problem, though, since nearly all email notifications are from the most popular topics. I can easily create a mini-list in Excel for reference/sorting.classblockquoteIf you would like, I could add visible topic numbers to the Hot Topisc page. A special Thank you!, ccwf, for all the computer knowledge you share. I have learned more at CJK from you and others than is imaginable. Now, if only I had the time to go exploring on all the pages and links that grab me. I get so caught up in fascinating tangents that I frequently am too exhausted to return to my original search. Nevertheless, during each foray I bag some tasty little morsel, feeding that insatiable hunger, Curiosity.

Sorry, no. I've often wished the same since the Page Info shows useful info for developers that I often have to wind up retyping.

You can vote to make sortable columns a higher priority for the Mozilla developers.

I was looking for the drop down translator that used to be at the top of the page? Has that been eliminated? Or am I blind, not seeing it somewhere?

Since I hadn't had time to update the drop-down menus (they still point to our old forum URLs prior to the Runboard upgrade), I temporarily removed them. I could probably put just the translator back.
