Well, not sure if this is that much different (two sisters in love w/the same guy)... Looks like there are two friends in love w/the same guy (or heading in that direction).. One of them has been his pen pal for 3 years and the other he has apparently had a relationship with in college. He received two letters.. One from his pen pal, informing him of the 'new' girl in the office and the other from that same girl. I noticed when the two girls were talking the college girl asked the other girl if she had a lover. The girl said she had a pen pal but it hadn't gotten to love 'yet'... I see trouble ahead..

yes, maybe no different, but considering how the previous 3-4 TV Novels involved 2 sisters and 1 guy, I'm just happy to see something a bit different. And we havent' seen the other male lead yet.

Is it me or it seems that there has to be 1 girl who always want out of her current situation? And Kim Gab Soo doing 2 daily dramas! You can see him as the father of the male lead in MBC's Barefooted Youth, and also the father of 1 of the female leads here. The actress portraying his daughter here was the courtesan who got wounded delivering the message to Yi Soon Shin in Immortal Admiral Yi Soon Shin.

Creidesca... Do you happen to know the number of episodes with this drama? I know you said they usually show that information at the beginning of the first episode but I wasn't paying attention. Thanks.

I'm thinking it will run into the 150's or more.

Re: K-Drama: 고향역 (Hometown Station/A Place Called Home)

After seeing ep 2, I'm completely hooked.

So let's see, Jeongin's father and Platoon Leader Song's father are somehow involved in framing Seongkyeong's real father for espionage, and Kim Gab Soo is actually her adoptive father...and the appearance of 2nd male lead...a city doctor! Uh oh, Jeongin's just realized that Seongkyeong's penpal is Platoon Leader Song!

Hmm, wish I could help out w/ the character names right now, but I can't remember their names at the moment...I guess it will take several more episodes before I get their names down.

I also already like this drama. I really like the girl Seongkyeong (oh my gosh we'll need to shorten that!).. She seems like SHE will be the one that will be the love interest for both the 'city' Dr and platoon leader Song. And how funny how Jeongin and Song's father's are involved with the biological father to Seongkyeong. That should play out quite interestingly.

It does seem that Jeongin may be in love with Song already. So she won't be too happy now that she realizes her friend Seongkyeong has been Song's pen pal for 3 years! It also seems that Song AND Jeongin's fathers would like them to get together. So we KNOW they will make that a problem by having Song fall for Seongkyeong (maybe Seong?).....

I just love this era. I think it said it takes place in 1971. I also like that this is a small town.

I was flabbergasted that Jeongin would open her friend's letter. But why would platoon leader Song lie about who he was to Seonkyeong? Do you think Jeongin telling platoon leader's mother that he allowed her to go to his room for books just an excuse so she could spy on what he has in his room? But I doubt she'd find anything, considering it's the young maid who does most of the housework.
