Oh my! They're beginning to air the series w/ eng subs!

Don't know when it started, but tonight is ep 09, and I know they didn't have the subs for ep 1-6 (I stopped watching after ep 04 cuz when I taped ep 06, the ep had went over its alloted timeslot so I missed some min of the ep)

The english title of the series is exactly like the one shown on KBFD in Hawaii, so I wonder.

I hope they do eng sub for the next series tho!

hmm, if KBFD (Hawaii) started airing Running After Dream on 1/2/2004, then I guess there's no way that KTAN could have really taken their subs eh? since we saw ep 09 last nite here in SoCal w/ eng subs

Has anybody else been watching this drama? Because it would definitely be nice if someone could tell us what has happened so far.

Re: K-drama: Running After Dream

Wow! After one episode, I have to say that I am really hooked on Running After Dream. This is the first MBC drama that I've watched with consistency, or an planning to since today was the first time I ever saw it. Another thing that I found kind of interesting was that the MBC dramas actually run throughout a one-hour timeslot while the KBS dramas are only for like 45 minutes. I don't know if it's just me, but the MBC dramas seem different in their storyline from those made by KBS.

I think one of the things that made me like the drama so much was that Sang-shik is actually being nice to You-joo after breaking her heart. I think he's actually falling for her and will turn him from his "troublemaking" ways. I thought it was really touching how he actually gathered bagfuls of fallen leaves just because You-joo said she felt like walking on fallen leaves. That made my jaw drop in amazement and even made me a little bit teary-eyed. I really hope though that Sang-shik isn't just going through some phase and toying with You-joo's feelings again because she's such a sweet girl, and I think the fact that she's kind of vulnerable makes me like her more.

I have to say though that the situation between Moo-chul and Hee-ya kind of reminds me of that in OMR. Once again you have two people who marry despite their economic differences and then their children (Hee-ya and Hyun-kyu) who follow in their footsteps. I thought it was kind of ironic how the mom in OMR is still the mom, except not as open-minded in Running After Dream. It also seemed kind of weird how she's married to the uncle from Sang-doo, since he was such a player and now such a married man. I really hope this drama doesn't end anytime soon since I think it's really good and I hope that both Sang-shik and Moo-cul find happiness with their respective "partners."

Re: K-drama: Running After Dream

we're already more than 1/2way through the series, since it's 16 episodes

I was pretty shocked at the blunt way Yoon Esub(Lee Jongsu), the doctor friend of Hee Chun and Hee Ya refused Hee Ya's request over the phone like that even though she she had refused his love several episodes ago. I can understand his plight at being only considered as a brother by the 2 siblings, but to refuse bluntly like that? His character seems much more likeable in the previous MBC drama that was replaced by Running After Dream: Good Man where he played 1 of the lead guys' friend who was murdered.

It looked like that after ep 04 or 05, KTAN decided to air more of each episode, that is why the timeslot is from 9:35pm-10:40pm...however if you decide to tape the ep w/o commercials I'm sure you'll only get 50-55min worth (the actual ep might still be longer in length), considering that when I had taped ep 01-04 w/o the commercials, each ep only averaged about 45min or less from the 9:35-10:30pm timeslot

I think if KTAN decides to start subtitling MBC dramas, the ratings should increase enough to make it worthwhile. I have to say that Running After Dream is a great drama and should definitely attract more people now that its subbed and people know what they missed out on.

Yes, I don't have a lot of experience with the MBC dramas, but this one sure seems to have a much sharper edge than does your typical KBS drama.

Though I spent most of last night trying to catch up with the storyline, I have to say that this drama looks pretty good. It's great to have another option now on Wed/Thurs nights.

Re: K-drama: Running After Dream

I get the feeling that I'm the only one watching Running After Dream since nobody ever posts here. I think this is a great alternative for most people who have no English subbed dramas to watch on Wed and Thurs.

Anyways, I thought that last night's episode was really good since Sang-shik and You-joo seemed to have gotten closer to each other. Unfortunately, You-joo did end up running off at the end of the episode, which is sad since it seemed like Sang-shik did a 180 on his whole guilt trip issue. I was actually hoping Sang-shik would take Moo-chul's money and take You-joo on a trip or pay for her surgery. I hope he finds her soon and falls in love with her because she is very cute.

Re: K-drama: Running After Dream

I'm still trying to finish Wed's ep...didn't get home till 10pm that night and was very exhausted from my 6:30am-9:30pm stay at school.

Missed most of what was happening in Thurs. ep since I was busy writing my pre-lab writeup--those flow charts are so time consuming

Any one mind giving their input on why Hee-ya acts the way she does? I've already noticed several times that it seems she's embarrassed of Moon-chul whenever she runs into any of her old buddies. And each time he says he doesn't mind.
