It is having technical difficulties. Try their back-up site, www1.mysoju.com.

So sad - right now on 9/10 I can't access www.mysoju.com, www1.mysoju.com OR soompi.com. When i tried to go to soompi I got a page about installing Dhrupal which I don't understand. Is all of this gone or will it be back soon?

thanks for any information

DD

Hmmm... I am able to access Soompi and www.mysoju.com just fine and had no problem with it yesterday, either.

"www1.mysoju.com" was a temporary backup site and is now no longer in use since they've gone back to the former one.

As for "Dhrupal," in a Google search I scanned the first 3 pages and "Druhpal" does not show up as any sort of software program to install. I would be very careful about installing it, or even clicking on it if it is a hot link within the text of the message page.

If you were able to access Soompi and www.mysoju.com before, there shouldn't be a problem now requiring some weird thing named "Druhpal". Something else is going on with your computer.

Thanks, nchristi! I spelled it wrong - no 'h'. But apparently it is a kind of software that lets you establish your own board, like Soompi.

A few hours after I posted this everything was fine again! Go figure!Image

Re: Useful K-Drama Links

I don't know if this is appropriate for this category, But for a general look at the Korean/American community, Koream Journal is hard to beat. I have been subscribing to it for around 20 years since it was just a 20 page tabloid. Today it is a wonderful slick magazine with a lot of interesting content.
I hadn't seen it mentioned on any of these forums so I thought I'd bring it up.
Subs are $28 per year.
The website is "http://www.koreamjournal.com "

posticon SBS International TV Schedule - LA/NY

SBS has a new website in English. It contains (finally!) both daily and weekly schedules for cable and satellite. However, as of this posting, they have not included their schedule for the terrestrial digital station LA18.1. I have sent them an email requesting a terrestrial schedule.

SBS TV schedule for LA and NY

posticon Arirang TV Schedule

I can't believe it, but I found an Arirang TV schedule that has a separate column for Los Angeles (LA)... if you can figure it out. LOL! I keep a printout sheet handy with time conversion from "24 Hour Clock" to "AM/PM."

Go to the Arirang TV Index.

There you will see a TV schedule with separate columns starting with "Seoul" and ending with "Mexico City." This is NOT the chart you want.

Scroll down to the bottom of this TV schedule and you will see in tiny little letters on the left: "Schedule Downloads," an arrow, then "This Week."

Click on "This Week." This will open a Microsoft Excel chart entitled: "World Program Schedule." It shows the current week. The "LA" time is the very last column on the far right.

Here‛s the most important thing to remember: The dates at the top of the chart are Seoul dates, not LA dates. This is important to remember because Seoul is one day ahead of us.

For example: My favorite Arirang program airs in Seoul on Wednesday nights at 8:30p (20:30) Seoul time, (which is Tuesday in LA). Here in LA, this program airs on Wednesday nights at 7:00p, which in real time is Thursday in Seoul. So on the TV chart, it shows an encore on Thursday (Seoul date) at 19:00 (7:00p PT) in LA.

The simplest thing is to remember to look for your LA program one day ahead on the chart. If it airs on Wednesday in LA, look under the Thursday column on the chart. Convert the time to AM or PM.

It requires some getting used to, but I am very happy to have this chart, since all these years it was hit and miss trying to know what Arirang was showing and when.

Re:

Thanks for some really helpful information nchristi.
Would like to mention that the website for Hotelier 2002 has been gone for several years. Used to be used by many including myself. However we drfted away to other sites including So Ji Sub site and d-addicts which is marvellous site if you want downloads and discussion on many dramas.
