Ccwf, also about TV Asahi, Time Warner lists the Japanese programming from 7 to 8 on Sundays as TV ASahi. Could they put the name of the drama instead? IE - Salaryman Kintaro4 ? I know someone mentioned it above, but on the weekdays they have different programming.;

Here's the response I got back from Bill Dailey, Program/Product Manager TiVo Customer Support:
引用 (quote):

I heard back from the person at TiVo who works with Tribune most closely. He had passed your reports on to Tribune. They went though each report and indicated that the data shown in the guide is the actual data provided by the station. Unfortunately they indicated that they are not able to change it because it looks like the stations themselves are providing the generic/incorrect data. He said that they do have contacts at each station that they work with, but that they do rely on the station to provide the actual data on an ongoing basis.

Some possible options to help make program guide information better for a particular stations are:

- Lobby the stations to start providing more accurate data to Tribune (stressing that it impacts your ability to watch those stations)
- Continue to report incorrect incorrect programs to TiVo/Tribune using the TiVo lineup reporting form (https://customersupport.tivo.safeharbor.com/caseSubmitLineup.asp) or by sending reports to [email protected].

So, TiVo and Tribune Media Services will correct errors in entering the data from the stations; but, fundamentally, everyone needs to complain to the International Channel, KSCI, KXLA, KTSF, KIKU, and so forth to make sure they submit correct data in the first place. Otherwise, TMS would have to keep correcting the data on an on-going basis, which they're not willing to do.

At this point, I would suggest we collect contact info (names of people to contact, phone numbers, email addresses) in this thread for the various stations to make it easier for everyone to lobby them to provide better data.

I see, well, thanks for your effort, Ccwf.

So, in this case, would we all need to contact them? Or would it be like last time? And would we actually contact the networks or rather the broadcasters (UTB, Asahi, the Chinese/Taiwanese broadcasters?) since we may be directed tp them eventually.

Comcast San Francisco Jadeworld Listings

Alert: Jadeworld is currently refusing to send Tribune Media Services listings for their special Jadeworld San Francisco feed used (only) by Comcast customers in San Francisco. Jadeworld's position is that they send listings to TV Guide and don't want to send another set of listings to the other major listing service, Tribune Media Services, which provides listings for many newspapers, DVRs, the television industry,…

I urge Comcast San Francisco customers to call or email Jadeworld and complain.

Update: Through TiVo, we got Tribune to give the Jadeworld folks a call and finally got their SF lineup. So, Comcast customers in San Francisco will have correct Jadeworld listings shortly. emoticon

Re: Correcting Listings for Foreign Language TV Programming

Ccwf - so our hard work paid off? So far, the UTB 9:00 drama still lists "Fake" (their mis-spelling of Trick) as the program airing then. So we have to try harder then...

Yes, complain to KSCI.

I'm also trying to find out how the stations submit their listings to Tribune Media Services to see if we can make the process of correcting listings any easier.

So its the fault of KSCI?

Better yet, why don't I write something and send it from C/J/K Message Boards. It would seem more proffesional. I'm thinking of doing that as well to get UTB to air the Trick movie over here.
