This is the list of material that, currently, is absolutely not allowed on Runboard IN PUBLIC OR PRIVATE BOARDS/FORUMS: - Adult material, as in "Sexually explicit pictures, writing, movies or other material whose primary purpose is to cause sexual arousal.". This obviously includes child pornography. - Warez, as in "derivative for the plural form of the word "software" meaning copyrighted material traded in violation of its copyright license." This includes links to warez. A board full of links to warez or pirate divx bittorrents is NOT fine. - Racism, antisemitism and co. - search Google if you need a definition. - Slandering, as in "Oral communication of false statements injurious to a person's reputation." What is permitted? Everything else. As long as something is not explicitely prohibited - it's permitted - UNLESS it's just obviously wrong to any mentally sane person. What happens to boards that go against these rules? If it appears a necessity, a board is suspended pending review. After review, the board might be unsuspended, or might remain suspended. This decision also depends on how the admin(s) of the incriminated board react(s). Often, removing the offending content and warning the board's members is enough. Ultimately, the board can be deleted - this happened before and can happen again, however in most cases, reasonable diligence will be performed before this irrevocable step is taken.nondisclosed_email@example.com (ccwf)Wed, 13 Jul 2005 15:35:12 +0000 Suggestions and Feedbackhttps://bcjkdramasincalifornia.runboard.com/p1364283,from=rss#post1364283https://bcjkdramasincalifornia.runboard.com/p1364283,from=rss#post1364283If you have any problems using the board or suggestions, please don't hesitate to let me know using the Forum Feedback topic or the Suggestions? topic or via AIM or my Runboard inbox or via email. From the Jargon file:classblockquoten. [Usenet] 1. A remark which reveals important plot elements from books or movies, thus denying the reader (of the article) the proper suspense when reading the book or watching the movie. 2. Any remark which telegraphs the solution of a problem or puzzle, thus denying the reader the pleasure of working out the correct answer (see also interesting). Either sense readily forms compounds like `total spoiler', `quasi-spoiler' and even `pseudo-spoiler'. By convention, articles which are spoilers in either sense should contain the word `spoiler' in the Subject: line, or guarantee via various tricks that the answer appears only after several screens-full of warning, or conceal the sensitive information via rot13, spoiler space or some combination of these techniques.Speculation is fine. And once an episode has aired in either Northern or Southern California, it is fair game for all discussion. On this board, spoilers must be protected using the spoiler feature. To learn how to use this feature, see About Spoilers.nondisclosed_email@example.com (ccwf)Sun, 08 May 2005 12:37:54 +0000 Simple rule for NEW topicshttps://bcjkdramasincalifornia.runboard.com/p1364280,from=rss#post1364280https://bcjkdramasincalifornia.runboard.com/p1364280,from=rss#post1364280For guidelines on naming new topics, see Simple rule for NEW topics. Creidesca or Triple Lei, or No Rest, if you guys, as the other moderator and the administrator, feel that anything here should be changed, please feel free to go ahead and edit it, with or without letting me know. Also, if someone wants to add something or feels something is not fair, please post it here, and we'll discuss it and see if we shoul dadd it to the rules. Okay, here we go. Rule 1: The skeleton rule, no spamming. Don't post one sentence answers, and if someone asks a question, IE, "What's the largest Buddhist sect in Japan", don't answer, "I don't know", only answer if you know. Also, don't post one sentence answers, just to get your post count high. Rule 2: As creidesca has already noted, when posting about a drama, make sure you specify what country the drama came from, IE, if you want to post something about True Love, don't post "True Love" as the message subject, make sure you specify what kind of drama it is, IE, True Love came from Taiwan so write "T-Drama: True Love". Rule 3: Make sure that everything goes in the correct forum. Don't post something about a Japanese drama in the Chinese drama forum, or something regarding your school in the J-Drama forum. Make sure everything goes in the correct forum. Rule 4: No flaming, or for those of you who don't know what it is, it means no teasing, or making fun of each other. I have noticed some people being a little rude to each other, not very mean, but just something little, like being sarcastic or something of that genre. Whatever the case, we want everyone here to have an enjoyable experience here, and so no teasing, flaming, or bashing allowed. Rule 5: So far, we have been pretty good. There have been no spammy posts (unlike the Pokemon message board, where spammers made up 75% of the population) but as our message board is growing, we may get some. So, basically, the mods and admins have the right to ban somebody if they have spammed or bashed someone numerous times, but we will always give the spammers a few chances before we ban them. Of course, when we do ban, we have to get the consent of each other. Well, that's basically it. If you have any questions, please contact me, Triple Lei, or creidesca. I am online every day unless I am out, or am I busy. My screen name is HanadaTattsu, so if you have any questions just instant message me, or if I'm not online, you can just PM me here or e-mail me at HanadaTattsu@aol.com, I check my PMs and my e-mails daily. If creidesca, No Rest, and Triple Lei want, they can post their contacts here as well. Well, have fun, and follow the rules! P.S - The following moderators specialize in the follwing areas. We all moderate all forums, but we specialize in these areas - CREIDESCA (ADMIN) - All Dramas Triple Lei - Chinese & Taiwanese Dramas Hiroshi 66 - Japanese Dramas No Rest - South Korean Dramas WE are not restricted to modding these forums, we mod all forums, but we are mostly into these.nondisclosed_email@example.com (hanadatattsu)Tue, 30 Dec 2003 11:03:09 +0000
