Re:

It certainly is interesting the names you come up with some of these characters that I am literally LOL. Nearly fell of my seat when I read them. Yerin the Stick. I knew that she was thin but last nights episode I could really see how thin she was. Just like the stick that you mentioned. Now you are calling her a ferret or is it her bio mom that you are referring to. It was a bit confusing for me to figure out. Another person that I know was referring to Seyoung as Toad Eyes. I guess he was one of the few people that didn't like her looks. emoticon Though to be honest I think that she would look just as nice even if she went ahead and cut her hair short. emoticon Though perhaps Yerin might be better known as a Rat. She certainly is devious as one and then just like a rat she is hoarding incriminating evidence instead of disposing of it and we all know that it is going to come and haunt her by biting in the A-- when she least expects it. Though we all know that she is going to deserve it by then. emoticon or maybe she will be in the regretting phase so we might feel sorry for her. :{
I recall that there was a time when even I named a bunch of characters. I was watching a drama called Dream High and I ended up naming a bunch of the characters with the names from a Managa my siblings were reading. So depending on their personalities I ended up naming them from characters from the Naruto Series. emoticon

You know what really surprises me is not that Kim Juhui lost a kid who was just 4 years old (Yes that was certainly bad not trying to justify it or anything) but how she successfully managed to conceal it from the world for 20+ years. I really want to know how she managed to pull that of and cover the eyes of the world with wool.

While I certainly get that it is strange that someone would be allowed to have keys to your bakery I can still understand all of this to an extent. Being neighborly and all. So the neighbor is being nice and all so you let them have the keys to your workplace and all but seriously don't Koreans ever learn to lock their doors and all. I mean can just anyone enter you place as if it belongs to them. Either they have such a low crime rate that they don't seem to care or else there is something wrong with them. I can't even begin to count the number of shows that I have watched where a character has just managed to enter someone elses home and either taken something from there without anyone being the wiser or has successfully planted incriminating evidence to frame that person. I am worried to even go visiting to Korea. Who knows I may get robbed over there. emoticon

The grandma is hard to figure out. While I do think that it is wrong of her to blame Seyoung for their downfall I do suspect that deep down she cares deeply for her. Perhaps she was the one who is really to blame. She must have invested heavily in beauty products and stocks and when they came crashing down she needed to blame someone so she did that to Seyoung. (you know the people who can't accept that they are wrong etc so they blame their mistakes on others. emoticon ) (was only joking there)
But I do believe that she cares some bit so her flaring up when Kim Juhui asked where Seyoung was adopted might just have been genuine. After all remember the time when she went to buy herself a dress and found them to expensive she decided to get one for Seyoung instead for her debut. Perhaps I am reading to much in the little actions. So I figure that when the time actually comes for Seyoung to leave she is actually going to regret all her mean and selfish actions towards her.

I am also guessing the marriage has successfully taken place and no I am not talking about Seyoung or Yerins marriage incase you were wondering.

Getting tired of Gieum and her actions and I fear the worse for Donguk. But I suppose she will mature out by the end (not that I have ever recalled such characters doing so in the few shows that I have seen perhaps this will be different though). Guess that means no chance of him ending up with Seyoungs sister. Perhaps she is to old according to Korean standards. emoticon and she was such a good choice and character. Such a Shame.

I actually understand the orphan guys dilemma. It is not so easy to turn on your family/loved ones. While he certainly understand both worlds he is also torn of how to help each of his friends without harming and hurting the other. Though I am sure that even he has a breaking point and when that comes he will reveal it all but till then he may just try to help indirectly without revealing how he knows stuff this way he wont be breaking his word to Yerin and Seyoung can be reunited with her family and still have a good relationship with Yerin without ever learning the truth. Hopefu;;y that is his intention but we all know how some good intentions can still go wrong emoticon

Well that is all from me for the moment.
I am truly sorry to hear about the cuts that you are being given and shown. I hope that they manage to fix them. Would hate any of you to drop this show. That would mean that we would have fewer people to discuss this show with. emoticon That should never be. As they say the more the Merrier. emoticon

Also sorry for the delay in posts had some Technical Difficulties on my end emoticon

Re:

The Ferret is the Stick's bio mom.

I'm glad people come up with names for the characters because the names are difficult to spell for me. If there were only one or two names I could probably learn but there are usually 15 or more characters in a drama.

Orphan Guy feels emotionally connected to Stick because of them being so close while in the orphanage, but it's not hard to see that she has changed, and is behaving in a way that is damaging to others, as well as herself. He is wrong to keep this information. He's basically helping her continue on this road to destroying others. I don't like him one bit! If he really wanted to help her, then TELL what she's doing because that's the only way to stop her.

Re:

Thankyou for clearing up the Ferrets identity.
Also I am glad to see that I am not the only one who comes up with names for some of these characters. emoticon

I agree that it can be a hard thing to remember all these foreign names. But then again I again assume that it is the same case for them to remember or pronounce our names.
For instance I had a friend of mine from Bangladesh who was named Naser (Nas Er) and our English teacher used to call him NASA (Like the Space Agency emoticon ) The teacher was British so you can understand the mistake we all have our own ways to pronounce names etc....

Fortunately for us Yerins mom now goes by the alias Grace so it is much easier to learn and use. I just noticed in my previous posts that I had been referring to her as such at times when she had not yet been revealed to all of you over there. So I want to apologize for my mistake. I should be more careful in the future.

Shame we still haven't come up with a nick name for the Orphan Guy yet and we contentiously keep calling him that nor have we learnt his name yet. emoticon Starting to feel sorry for him now.

While I agree with you that is judgement is clouded to his prior feelings towards Yerin and we can see how much she has changed (or assume from what they say) it is not so easy to let ones feelings go just like that. So he is covering for her to an extent. The problem here is that whether he reveals this himself or if others find out on their own such as locating said incriminating evidence etc.... Yerin is not only going to find herself in loads of trouble but she will be alienated by her family especially her mother. I suspect that it is only out of this consideration that he is not revealing the truth and is in the hope that somehow Yerin and Seyoung reconcile and manage to live happily ever after and share their mothers. emoticon But we all know that is not going to happen till the last episode unfortunately meaning we have approx another 60+ episodes to go emoticon

The problem with Yerin and Grace is that at times it is hard to know when they are genuine in expressing their feelings and when they are faking it. At times it seems what they are saying is what they mean but the next thing we see is that devious look on their faces indicating that their plans have been successful or atleast their intent. Perhaps it is because they manage to merge what they intend and mean as one so they are basically trying to kill to birds with one stone. Heck I have no idea what goes on even in my own head at times. :}

Still lets see what happens next.
I don't know if Yerins mom will end up with Seyoungs dad and I am not to sure what will happen if that takes place. Perhaps she finds out that Seyoungs family has discovered her little role in keeping Seyoung from discovering her family and why so she rushes out to escape the punishment for her crimes. By this time Seyoungs dad has discovered that he has feelings for her so he rushes out and manages to locate her and then we all know that Seyoungs family have a soft spot for people are to nice for their own good so he then tells her that he understands what she did and why but being a nice guy he forgives her and tells her that he needs her etc... Grace is so moved by his actions that she turns away from the dark side and her destructive path. Though perhaps only the dad should find out first since we can then milk out a few more episodes where the family finds out much later. Plus dad can defend his new woman this way also moving her some more. emoticon Plus we all know how people like to keep secects and stuff bottled up and it really is difficult to discover some stuff or the other without outer help. emoticon

Though I am no writer so don't take my words at face value lets see what happens next. emoticon
Speaking of pairings do you think that Seyoungs dad might have a crush on Kim Juhui and if so what do you think of that pairing?
I am just asking because in one of the early episodes he goes upto her and asks for her autograph even though he claims it is for his daughter. (I have seen a few people go and ask their idols (actors, sports players, characters, artists etc...) for an autograph but are a bit embarrassed when asked to whom to make it out so they say for a family member when it is for themselves instead,) I recall when I was a little kid before the Gulf War my mother decided to do a party for my dad at a restaurant. So she went with me to make the arrangements. When my dad came back from work we went to the restaurant over there when it was time for the cake to be brought and cut the people asked for who to sing the birthday song. My dad instantly took my name but my mother gave them my dads name. LOL So in the end when they sang the song they used both our names LOL emoticon . At that time I was quite young to understand why that happened but know that I am bit old I do realize that it can be quite embarrassing.
I don't mind telling people my age if they ask me. I am quite proud of that to an extent but at the same time I also don't like it being spilled out to the world. Bit hard to explain what I mean but I hope you get the idea. emoticon

Either way all is goof and I hope to hear from all of you soon.
Gieum you better grow up fast. emoticon and leave Donguk aka baker boy alone emoticon

Actually, me and my friends call orphan guy... Jose.. Because he was Jose in another drama. Sometimes they keep the same name throughout future dramas... Like Minsook... She was mom in Bizarre Bunch. She's in a gazillion dramas but she will always be... Minsook.

I would much rather Seyeong's dad hook up with Kim Juhui but... I think Ferret got her meat hooks in him already. I'm just really hoping that she (the Ferret) falls in love with him for reals and he dumps her porny a$$ by the end of the drama! I can't stand when these horrible characters end up forgiven and happy at the end. I want punishment and suffering!! lol

Anyone know why Jaesong's grandfather is so enamored with a Yerin?
Also, what does it mean that Jaesong comes from a "head" family?

Also, it appears that there is some sort of romance between Donguk and the middle Choice daughter (the one with the little daughter).
Anyway, isn't he a bit young? He seems to be a fit for the stalker girl (Jaesong's sister)

Re:

Well then Jose is the name of the orphan guy for me as well. emoticon Thanks for that info. Guess I am not the only one who retains the actors name from a previous character. emoticon
For instance no matter how many times I see Do Ji Won in different dramas I still tend to call her Anna or Anna Laker from her previous drama and the one that I was first introduced to her. So even when I saw one of her previous dramas (3 Brothers I was still referring to her character as Anna. emoticon )
Guess some people are just stuck with some names/roles that they have played no matter what they do later. For instance Arnold may have been Mr. Universe at one time and even a Governor (I do wonder what it felt like having him as a Governor emoticon Any ideas) but he will always be well known for his role in the Terminator series (and we all know who that was as unless we just came back from the future or jumped in way back from the past emoticon )

Glad to see that I am not the only one that is open to a Kim Juhui and Seyongs dad pairing LoL emoticon
While I agree that Seyoungs dad should just break it of with Grace when he finds out the truth we all know that he is to good for his own good. Infact I believe that entire family is to soft for their own benefit. So he most probably will forgive her by the end even if he doesn't end up with her.
Remember in the early episode some new bakery opened next door and was taking away all his customers so his mother tells him to talk with the bakery to come to some understanding. What does he go and do instead of coming to some sort of agreement with them he ends up purchasing a cake from them to congratulate them emoticon
The other incident is when he meets up with Grace for the first time. He is short of some cash(or maybe she didn't have any can't remember) and the shopkeeper wouldn't sell the items to her or wait for her get the money later on. So the Dad pays for a complete stranger only on the basis that she seemed to have a good character and was nice emoticon Far to trusting for his own good. (Though I have to wonder did Grace plan on that meeting from the start or was that a total coincidence?)

Who doesn't want these characters to be punished but unfortunately by the end of the show they have not only repented but have also managed to successfully reformed that there is no way that they can be punished plus we also get to feel sorry for them then. The only show that I can say that I have watched that had a partial punishment of sorts would have to be Brilliant Legacy/Shining Inheritance.

In regards to why Jaseongs grandfather would be so infatuated with Yerin (please note these are my own speculations and thoughts so I may be way of mark) may have to do something with that he doesn't have a whole lot of options to choose from. (remember Seyoung was the first girl that Jasenng brought home [even if it was just as an excuse to help teach his mother]), and plus what is not to like about her, she comes from a well reputed family, is kind and considerate, good looking etc in his eyes. We ofcourse know the truth. Her mother is really a porn star and who knows who the father is, she is extremely manipulative (though that can be understood give her circumstances) Plus the parents are family friends so there is a connection that is already formed between them. So due to the mothers being close friends and rivals it is to be taken that Yerin as a kid would have been brought to their home, Jaseong became her 1st crush and well she tried to do her best to impress everyone and since no other girl showed up at their place the grandfather would only know her. Of any other came he would first look into their backgrounds and if they were upto his standards he would start to look at other aspects before choosing the girl that he wanted as a grand daughter in law. Atleast that is what I suspect may be the reason why he would be so enamored with her at the moment. Seyoung you have a long way to go to impress not only him but the rest of that family as well.

What it means to be a head family again only a guess so please correct me if I am wrong anyone.
Lets take for example you have a grandfather (and to make things simpler he is an only child) he then has three sons. Him being the eldest you would consider him as a head so all things he must be respected and his advice considered as well.
Then lets say that your father is the eldest son that would mean that directly after your grandfather it would be your dad and family who would be considered with similar respect thus your dad would be part of the head family and then if you are the eldest son you would be the son of the head family and your siblings would be under you thus so goes on. So in this case all those old people that show up at Jaseongs home that his mother has to entertain would be his grandparents (Brothers of his grandfather) I may be wrong here mind you. Thus his dad must be the eldest son of his grandfather and him being the eldest son makes him the head as well. Hope this explains it.

Yes there certainly seems to be some sort of romance between the two. No I don't think that he is to young. How old can she be. 10 years max which I find reasonably alright. Anymore then I may have an issue. emoticon Though if they do end him up with the stalker girl they will write it of as a persons first crush or a student that has a crush on his teacher in school. etc... I suspect that the daughter may like him because he is paying a lot of attention to her at the moment something which she was denied by her previous husband and not only that he even cheated on her.
Plus how can one say that he is fit for the stalker girl don't you think that she is way to immature for him and the things she does. emoticon You haven't even seen that yet emoticon
Love them cracks me up emoticon

Re:

So my 8:20p version (which I pay for) is still being chopped to bits. I do record it at 2:30am (or can record 7:30am) and they both seem to be ok

My friend watches ch 19 at the same time (8:20) and there is a scene I still got on my episode that she did not get. I thought it was important. When the little girls mother was searching for her daughter, it didn't show on my version where she called the bakery guy. But it did on ch 19. However, on my version it showed them coming out of the police dept, where the little girl had been taken and the little girl's dad was there (as was the mom and bakery guy). The dad started badgering Donguk and trying to get Donguk to hit him. He told him, "You're on parole, right... So, hit me hit me". Donguk and the dad almost went at it but the mom stopped them. The dad, trying to continue to egg on Donguk, pushed the mom hard, knocking her to the ground. Donguk ignored the guy and was tying to help the mom. The dad stormed off saying he was going to sue for custody of the little girl since she (mom) was too busy dating a younger guy. After Donguk got the mom up he told her he would protect her and the little girl he then grabbed her and hugged her. She immediately pushed him away and went inside the building.

I can't stand stalker girl. But I'm thinking that's the direction they will go. This relationship (Donguk and the mommy) is more interesting to me than the leads relationship. I'm gonna be disappointed if he does end up w/stalker. I just do not like that girl. He's trying to throw her out of the bakery and she has her claws in him and refuses to leave.

Another deleted scene: Jaesong keeps trying to call Seyeong (she won't take his calls) he goes to her house and her dad sits him down for a 'heart to heart'. He asks Jaesong if he is interested in Seyeong. Jaesong says yes. Her dad tells him his family wants him w/Stick. Jaesong tells him he will convince his family. Dad asks if Seyeong has feelings for him too. Jaesong says he knows she does but that she had told him she wanted to concentrate on work (no relationship w/him). The dad tells him to forget about marrying Seyeong because he doesn't want her mistreated by Jaesong's family .. AND that since Seyeong is adopted, they would not accept her anyway. Dad tells him to leave her alone because he'll only cause her to get upset. Jaesong leaves, heave hearted but that's when he runs into Seyeong outside (this scene was shown).

They finally touched on how Seyeong was lost without really explaining it. Her bio-father left for the US,so might turn up in later episodes. I don`t think Grace will survive the drama with her liver transplant,so I expect she and Yerin might have a real relationship in the end.
